Can anyone give me some tips for contested marking? I can't manage to mark in my own forward line even when I'm in front of the contest which makes goal scoring exceptionally hard. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, any help?
Thanks![]()

Wait til the patch comes out when you'll be able to jostle in marking contests. Otherwise, at the moment, only go for the mark if you're the only one going up.

It's a bit of a bug Jacare...
Currently, pushing the right stick in a marking contest spoils the ball. It shouldn't, it should actually bumb/jostle (just like the AI can bump us in marking contests). After the patch, the controls for marking contests will be as follows;
Right Stick = Bump/Jostle
LT/L2 + Right Stick = Directional Spoil
LT/L2 + Y/Triangle = Spoil
Y/Triangle = Mark
Hope that helps.
I can never ever take speccy's so i know my timing is wrong when i'm trying to mark. Some people i play have obviously mastered the timing of taking a mark because they out mark me nearly every time unless i just go the spoil. I just can't seem to find the right timing and i know it must be hard to explain exactly when to press mark but any help would be good... thanks
It's about positioning, not just timing.
Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere but this seems a good place.
Have any of the 'legend masters' here - the guys that win on legend by 20+ goals etc - beaten Collingwood playing as Gold Coast?
Seems an obvious answer but I'm genuinely struggling to beat the top teams playing as North on veteran. But I switch to say Geelong and then win my matches easily. Right now I feel like stats have a massive bearing on the outcome of a match.
