Players bolded in 2011 I'd be very suprised to see them renewed.

Players bolded in 2012 are lucky they have another year left on their contracts IMO.

Good work... was just asking for something like this, like you say, makes it easier to assess likely delistees (more likely to come from the group out of contract this year).

I've marked my possible delistee's in bold. In Italics are ones to consider for trade (bold and italics are potential for either).

Browne gets a ? He's only 21, so might be given time, but I'd be comfortable letting him go. Maybe 1 year extension then you can assess he and Gus at the end of next year. Will largely depend on whether we can trade for a ruck.

Will be interested to see what happens with Griffiths. You can see the potential, but he can't put any games together. As much as I hate to say it, might come down to him or Astbury.

Both Griffiths and Astbury will stay. One has Richo's number the other we knew had problems and will take time. Riewoldt 2006 draft took till 2010 to break out. Rance 2007 broke out 2011 Vickery 2008 kind of this year next year him and Post should be aiming for big years. 2013 should be Astbury/Griffiths/Grimes real break out years and when we really start to push finals.

If we gain a ruckman i would have thought we would lose one. If Graham can be traded for anything I think that would be the preference. Otherwise like u said Im happy for Browne to be moved on.

Webberley, Nason, Farmer and Taylor need to be moved on and would like to see Jackson traded for about pick 40. Maybe combine that with Foley (would happily pay his 2012 salary for the other club) for a top 20 pick to take a Crozier (x-factor Dale Thomas type) or Bolger (ruckman) if he lasts. Could be our 10 year ruckman though will take a few years and Maric/Derickx would have to take that role for time being.

Hope you're right, and you probably are. Would hate to see one of them go over one of the light framed, so-so flanker types we seem to have plenty of.

Would be happy with that... any chance Foley would have currency with GWS? Foley + 32/33 for one of their 1st rounders (15 - for Bolger). Or see if we can get into the mini draft for Grundy?

Geez we better get on resigning Rance. I can just see that shifty bugger Sheedy poaching him from us.

Will be very interesting when it comes to delisting players.

Does tuck have a deal until 12?

I think Farner, Taylor, Web and Nason will be cut but who will be the minimum 5th? Morton? But he has that x factor that we need. A massive problem I see is that Dea, Thursfield, who were probably "gone" but now we would want to keep them whereas McGuane Gourdis and Connors would be the ones we would rather get rid of.

I think Miller would be upgraded to a senior list. I have no problems with that, he has proved his worth both on the goal sheet but more so the chasing, tackling, shepards.

For those that don't notice the small things, keep your eyes on millers work off the ball, he is the one forward chasing and tackling like crazy. His unselfish play and hard leading creates space for Jack and allows him and TV to stay deep . It's no surprise to me to notice we play better and our forward pressure is a thousand times better when miller is in the side

We only have to delist 3. Miller should stay. May as well keep him as a rookie. Otherwise we are taking one less ND pick and one more Rookie pick and we can just upgrade Miller to senior list for round 1 anyway if Griff isnt up to it yet.

browne needs more time. is only 21 dominating vfl.
dea gets more time. looked excellent on the weekend
webberly has dominated vfl this year gets more time.
shop nason around. is an SA centrals boy. i know a few crows supporters that would love him.

farmer is almost certain to go. doesnt work down back. dont need him up forward. only positive is his booming kick. almost all of 2011 will be renewed, likely for a year. so we can maximise our drafts next year.

2012 contracted players: mcguane, graham (doggies will pick him up), white, connors dont know what will happen there struck down by injury this year. shop him?

I'd like to keep tuck for another year. we need the midfield depth. he protects the young guys, he's someone good to learn from. while i dont agree playing him makes us win games or improve by 3 goals playing him makes us look more balanced.

I find it interesting the difference in opinion between PRE and BigFooty on Browne. On PRE he is seen as a player who by 2012-2013 will be a seriously good ruck man. On here, seen as a player who will be unlikely to make it, from what a majority of posters on here think.

I managed to catch Browny's game on the weekend, and he is someone who is a must to keep. Had 35 hit outs and 31 disposals. That's huge and it's the second week in a row he has dominated in VFL. Graham took a very long time to even play a couple of good games in VFL. Browny actually does it fairly regularly. Dean Cox was a supposed spud early in his career. You need to allow time for big guys. Normally by 23-24 years of age they should click. I think Browny is pretty close to clicking already. He turned 21 on the weekend.

Give big Browns a bit of time. Trust me guys. He is going to be a player.

Also, anyone think we will sign up Morton? Or just trade him? I think the club does still rate him. When Carlton asked if we would trade Morton for Grigg it was a very definite, no. But were happy to trade Collins. I hope we do sign Morton up, at his best he is easily in our top 10.

What are the Doggies giving us for Graham? Webberley is a good VFL level player. We have to delist some players. Farmer agreed. Really want Tuck to stay. Adelaide fans have suggested Connors for Maric?

Wow, sounds like some sort of game... perhaps he will be better than I give him credit for. He just look very unco-oridnated, and clumsy. Not sure if that the sort of deficiency that can be "developed" out of him.

Problem is that we have to delist a number. From a list like ours, it shouldn't be that hard.

Yep, his co-ordination should be fine by the time he is 23-24. That is the deficiency a lot of big guys have, that is why they take longer. It will eventually click for him, and in time will be a pretty good ruck man for us.

Maybe I'll cut him a little slack and give him time. Will be interesting to see if/who we can trade for in terms of a ruck. And what that will mean for Browne/Graham/Derrickx. Can you keep those 3 plus a new #1 ruck (plus Vickery) on a list of 46 odd players? Not sure you can. For me you've gotta give Derrickx a shot, so it comes down to Gus/Browne.

P.S. good to see a fellow Latrobe Valley resident on here... sure there's more around, but you're the first I've noticed.

I'd definitely give him a bit of time. I'd say delist Graham because we've all seen his best and it isn't very good, and just hope that one of Browne, or Derickx come through as a good second ruckman behind the Ruckman we trade for.

I haven't seen many Latrobe Valley guys around here either! You're the first I can think of anyway! I'm sure there are a few around though! :D

Agreed.

As for him looking unco... I personally don't see it as much as others seem to but I know that most guys who grow to be very tall (>200cm) grow very quickly and it takes time for the brain to iron out motor skills perfectly. It may not seem like much but if your arm gets 1" longer very quickly, then given the multiple joints and directional range, getting the hand to a certain position becomes a completely different muscular movement. The brain will eventually sort out the muscle memory.

I disagree with the bolded bit we have seen some very good signs from Graham back in 2009 but recently he has gone backwards most likely due to laziness and lack of work ethic, so if the club do delist him end of year I would want it to be because he wont pull his finger out rather than him not being good enough.

Players i believe wont be at punt rd in 2012

Tuck ........... His papers have been stamped
Taylor ......... Cant keep a player thats gone
Graham ....... Been there too long and just not good enough
Thursfield .... Will be shopped again this time will be sold
Nason .......... Again will be shopped & eithe port/crows will bite
Farmer ......... Should never have been taken

White/jackson/edwards/connors/Foley will all be shopped around and if there is a suitable trade will get done

Foley/Jackson ......... GWS Bait
Connors/Edwards ... SA Bait
White .............Kanga's/Saints

Also on another note, Cale Morton gets Killed on the demons board How would we feel about a white/morton trade ?
