Fair enough, I just rate Cummings to high to pass on, also phillopu was best available in that part of my mock. It was either him or Archie ludwoyke, who I wouldn’t mind because by the time he develops watermen will be on his way out. Also think Noah hibbens has to much upside and talent to pass on especially with who’s available at the point in the draft, if he can find more consistently he could easily become the best player in the draft. Fair enough on Bailey W but I think that’s where Ryan’s value is.

If it was a different season with less academy kids sure.
This year that pick 26 will be in the mid 30s, and we wont even use the bloody thing as we are short on list spots while having a bunch of first round picks and NGAs + f/s.
If we got a pick that ended up at 26 AFTER academies for Ryan, and we were for sure going to use the pick then yeah id agree

There was a time when You never had to nominate.
Easy option is if two players of the same team go for the ruck it is a free kick to the opposition team.

The whole point of nomination of the ruck is they cannot be impeded contesting the ball up except by the other ruck .

Without nominations it would be a disaster to try and officiate it .

I'm happy for teams to nominate for a 1 vs 1 ruck battle but the umps shouldn't wait for the rucks to arrive .

This is why I asked about Essendon. There is still value to us. If Essendon were keen and they were trying to see how CDT goes but not over-expose him, they still need to get him past the Richmond picks, which makes our picks valuable to the Bombers.

I'll lock it in now, Duursma and Sharp are almost guaranteed to be eagles players.

I would personally trade pick 1 (duursma) + ? for 5 and 6 to essendon.

Duursma who all 3 of his siblings play in vic would be a nightmare to keep once drafted .

Take sharpe at pick 2 and cummming at 5 .

Pair the 2 SA boys together for a smooth transition like GC did with Rowell and Anderson

I actually think the opposite if they only offered a 1 year deal to Cole.
He wouldn't be on more than average wages, still best 23 player, not into Starcevich but heavily into McVee who can play the Cole position and wing role imo.
