For the love of god whatever we do at the draft don't give up pick 1 or 2 if we get it for anything.

We need the top end talent.

This giving up top 3 picks is ****ed.
Only way I’d do it is if we got to keep that pick in the top 10 and gained another F1

there is no certainty in any of that. It’s time to stop the games. AFL needs to provide tangible help. Not sort of help to ensure Caro is happy.
What do you mean there’s no certainty in that? It’s quite literally points tied to pick number… unless you’re talking about the other draft stuff that was mentioned in another comment about taking talent like Shanahan in the second round? Or getting assistance you mean?

Let the delistings commence!
At least let them have Mad Monday first. Kids love all you can eat pizza and dessert at Pizza Hut at the end of the season.

Just because you have points, doesn’t mean someone will trade with you. Understand now?

So to give points just so you can trade up actually requires afl to have foresight to see what is happening and how it can play out. They do not.

If afl wants us to have pick 10, then give us pick 10. None of this about having points etc and help others first, then you second.

What on earth are you talking about… There are multiple clubs that require extra points to match bids on their talent. Gold Coast need an absolute s**t load, Brisbane need more, Carlton likely require more given they may have a Dean bid come after their compensation pick, Sydney will likely require more picks if they choose to sit on their first rounder. Collingwood need points for McGuane and McCarthy. Essendon will likely have to trade back their early 2nds to get both their boys or risk missing out on them… All these clubs either have to get more, or move their valuable first rounders back to avoid missing out on talent. Do you know what you’re talking about???

I actually do not understand your point is at all. Why would they just give us pick 10? That would be backlash galore for the other 17 clubs, at least giving us valuable points picks doesn’t disadvantage every other club by jumping the queue. They’re helping us and messing up every other clubs draft by doing that, giving us points-based assistance helps us and helps a bunch of other clubs too…

The sad thing is, everyone was (rightfully) pissed off with how the team was performing over the last 2/3 years and I said a number of times over that time 'you think it's bad now? They haven't even started the rebuild yet, wait till that happens and you'll see'

And that was realised this year. A club that waited too long to act on a whole bunch of fronts and it's manifested in the competitions first ever 22 loss season. Round 1 against Gold Coast showed me it's not gonna get any better until the young blokes take ownership of the place because guys like Kelly, Cole and Duggan, Ryan, Allen aren't up to lead anything.

Need to start by drafting some great footballers who are also LEADERS.

I think we've done pretty well drafting leaders. It's the trading in of leaders part that we need to do more work on. Baker and Graham have showed the way. Give them some support.

I think we just found Phil's dad's real account people...

Dear diary

The sad thing is the club has basically been a total dumpster fire for, like, 2–3 years. And I KEPT saying, “You think it’s bad now? Just wait till they actually start the rebuild.” Like Cassandra from Greek mythology, except instead of predicting the fall of Troy, I was screaming into the void about a football team that literally no one listened to. Spoiler alert: I was RIGHT.

This year was the big sad reveal. The team officially hit rock bottom with the first ever 22-loss season. Do you know how embarrassing that is? Like, I can’t even wear my merch in public anymore without feeling like I’m announcing: “Hi, I enjoy suffering!” Round 1 against Gold Coast was the moment my soul left my body. Like, it’s never going to get better until the young dudes actually grow a backbone and take charge. Because Kelly, Cole, Duggan, Ryan, Allen? Yeah nah. Absolute passengers. Like group project members who just show up on presentation day with nothing but bad vibes.

If this club wants to claw its way back from the pit of despair, they need to draft not just good footballers, but actual leaders. People with, like, chest-thumping energy who can drag everyone else out of mediocrity. Until then… we’re just doomed to misery.

Rock bottom was last year. Watch the game, not the ladder.

I Dont Get It Over My Head GIF by Lil Jon

I was a big Hewett believer (still want to be), but he needs to get alot stronger on the ball, gets moved aside way too easily. Work on his first touch too and we might start to see a player who’s worth the belief otherwise add to the long list of crud pile that occupies our team list.

How did Hamish Davis get an AFL contract, I don’t think I’ve seen someone dislocate their own wrist when dropping the ball to kick. And when that kick occurs, a genuine leaf blowing in the wind. I’d delist, has only an elite running tank and tackle and that’s it.

Hough, Dewar and Clay Hall need kick a Sherrin 100 times a day, because my god. Hough only one who can get away with it somewhat the others.. they have no other redeemable arrow to their bow.
