Freo must be pretty disappointed with what they have gotten from Bolton this year given what they gave up to get him and what they are paying him. They paid twice what we did for Baker in order to get Bolton and he will be nowhere near top 5 in their B&F and totally flopped for them tonight. Just goes to show buyer beware paying big for mature players.

Watching Davies tonight I don’t think he’s going anywhere.
Agreed, they would push Flanders first. Davies will at least see out his next year and see where he fits imo.

Erasmus I think stays too but would have to be happy playing wing, I doubt he gets those cbas there.

Would not be surprised if Mitch McGovern is on our list next year, as part of a potential pick 2 trade with Carlton or not.

Would free up Ginbey to not have to play as a KPD as some people prefer(or pushes out Brock/Bazzo), and would be an experienced player in D50 replacing(somewhat) what we wouldve had planned for Jeremy in 2026.
Decent kick too.

He'd fill a need.

Brisbane clearly lacked somebody who can take a contested mark in the forward line today, or just provide enough of a contest to split packs and stop the interceptors from intercepting. They probably think they are going to get an answer to that in Oscar Allen. But they will be disappointed. Allen has skills. He has strength to hold position against key defenders, leads to the right places and is pretty efficient at converting. But an aerial threat or pack marker he is not. Not anymore anyway. I don't think his body will allow his to do that. But if they think that that is what they are getting then good luck to them. As long as we get pick 2.

One of the things Harley said when he accepted the award after he trust Mini ect was he’s excited with what the club has planned and that’s a reason he extended for 2 extra years.

You’d assume he and his agent would’ve got a presentation similar to what apparently potential recruits get and what NWM apparently got
At the Saints. Cal and Riley do them on Gettable regularly with 3-5 year plans and visions including best 23 in that time frame.

I'm reading this as 9 & 10, which will be 11 & 12 after Allen and Draper compensations. I don't see how this cuts it, even without Chesser. Add Chesser back in and more is required from the Blues' side.

Needs a lot more work to make it work unless we have something lined up with Richmond, Essendon, Gold Coast and/or St Kilda.
I agree with you and I’d love to say with confidence that the club won’t do this deal, but we’re the club that split pick 3 for 12+14 and Owies and the club that gave up pick 2 and Rioli for pick 8 and 12.

"As we sit here tonight. Marcus Windhager will not be playing for the St Kilda football club next year. I can tell you that Marcus Windhager is bound for the Melbourne football club. St Kilda will need to move heaven and earth to keep the power midfielder and tagger at Moorabbin."

Wow. Seems we haven't turned his head.

You'd be happy paying 1.5 for Oliver?
I would seriously consider it. We have lots of cap space, and if we take on his salary we'd get him without having to give up our top-end draft picks. Frees us up to take a swing at Duursma & CDT.

Note to those who will object: this is entirely dependent on the club satisfying themselves that a fresh start in Perth will work for all parties.

Do you really want this to continue for another 4 pages? I was done but im down to go again

So who's this year's Rowell/Anderson combo?

Don't overthink this.
Uwland and Patterson.

Oh you mean available to us? Trick question, there isn’t one because this draft is weak and the three best pure mids aren’t available to us. Rowell and Anderson were highly rated in their draft year and are now top 10 mids in the comp. You don’t get that in every draft and even less likely in an underwhelming draft class like this year unfortunately.

Something like 9 + 19 + Acres for 2 + Chesser?

Seems like a wildly favourable deal for Carlton but can't see what else would be involved in terms of the players linked either side and the picks we'd be getting.

Unless Silvagni gets band 1 which would make it 9+10
Gifted Blues pick 3 last year and now trading pick 2?
Blues must be laughing.

Our club has blamed our predicament on too many years making finals and not having access to top 10 talent. Now that we have accesss to top 10 picks, we're trading them away.

Feel free to stop rewriting history to suit your own agenda.

Rioli was a totally seperate deal that went down to the wire.

Port coughed up a F2nd for Rioli and had nothing to do with the pick 2 split. We wasted that 2nd on Burgiel.

Wow. Seems we haven't turned his head.

Could open up a three way deal here.

Ryan to Saints
McVee to Eagles
Windhager to Dees

Late pick swaps to balance things if required.

Pretty close value these three.
