So thats a pick likely to be anywhere between 25 and 50 in next years draft, likely somewhere around 35. Nowhere near good enough.

If we get the draft assistance we have that many picks to bundle up.

The F2 for Ryan would have to just be on traded to a player we can get in this year.

Trading contracted best 23 players for future picks is just stupid in the position we are in.

Graham left Richmond to get more midfield minutes.

He played a HHF at the Tigers in the flag era because other mids were better than him, but he did rotate through there.

At rhe Eagles he doesnt have the same competition and is playing more......midfield.

When we have an actual midfield Graham either plays HHF again or retires or plays WAfL. And that will take several years to buiod.

All quite logical really.

Sure he left Richmond for more midfield time because Richmond refused to play him in the midfield because he is slow , cant find the ball and is an average kick.

But yeah he really moved the needle for us

Hopefully the extra rookie spots and end of 1st round pick that must be traded the most likely outcome is used for Starcevich trade.

Please give us something AFL because I dont trust us not to **** our Allen compo if we really want Starcevich and Brisbane play hard ball like Richmond did with Baker.

He is contracted in would rather keep ryan for a year .

We need best 22 player not speculative picks in the 30s

Ryan for Geelongs 1st via Marshall trade.

Chesser for 34 from Carlton.

Leaves us with 1 & 5 to take players

We also then have lots of pieces to grab for example Suns picks 8 & 12 (GEE first, WCE 2R, 22, Hawks 2R, 34, Hawks R3). Should give them the extra points they needs and the WCE 2R being the first pick of round 2 will most likely be split by them again maybe for future picks.

Leaves us with 5 first round picks 1, 5, 8, 12 & 15 (Hawks First)

2 for 5 and 22 is a horrible trade.

If we're expecting to get anything from the priority pick deal I can see them being fine with future picks for Ryan/Chesser for the purposes of managing list places

The fact that we're trying to circumvent free agency rules to get Starcevich without trading with Brisbane makes me think they are demanding something significant for him. Dont think Hawks second or third gets it done.

Despite always liking him, in most situations losing a player like Chesser wouldn't be the end of the world.

For us, as a club on its knees, it feels like yet another kick in the balls.

Genuinely believe the club is cursed.
