Eeeeek. He's not a fan of trains as well?
hey arnold nickelodeon GIF

Woosha says the club is comfortable with the HR contract status , plenty to the contract great detail etc etc .
Eagles not pushing or giving a time frame for decision from HR but are comfortable.

If Harley were to sign on that would put huge pressure on him play like a top 10 player in the league and essentially make him responsible for carrying us out of the abyss.

If people think the Vic media will give him a break if he signs on then I think they are mistaken.

Kane Cornes has led the charge on LDU underperforming since he signed his big contract.

I think HR will sign at least a 2 year extension and I wouldn't be surprised if he waits until mid next year to do it.

The club needs to get some wins on the board and some positivity happening first otherwise it'll be another pile on

Won't worry Harley.....

I wouldn't be surprised if the media has been contacted around the obsession with Harley and especially the negative stuff. Seems to have cooled a lot in the last few months especially from WA media... Kane mentioned during his Fireball segment that his critique of players is fair until mental health comes into play.

This was in response to his media ban from North around his comments on sheezel

NGL, the draft looks a bit underwhelming this year.

It’s not the year to find your point of difference maker unless you love a mobile ruckman.

There is enough good talent in the draft in the first 15 picks to fill out our list with and compliment picks we’ve already taken.

If we get band 1 compo for Oscar and can use the hawks pick as a basis to trade up to top 10 we could get Sharp, Lindsay, Rodriguez and add Walley and Evan’s as bids that’s a solid draft.

Not sure on that interpretation of yours .
Who knows but Eagles have done well , can do no more , up to Harley and his management now.
I am not criticising the club or saying they can or should do more. I am saying that despite the happy talk from the club which you would expect of any club in this situation, if a player from the east coast refuses contract negotiations despite being within 12 months of his current contract expiring then the odds of them leaving are very high.

I am comfortable with Reid leaving and if he hasn't signed by the end of the year he may have requested a trade already.

The draft picks we get for him or player and picks will be more beneficial to us in the long term imo.

It's a win win either way for us.

Isn't it still the case that barely any of the top 20 picks who were on 3 year deals from 2023 have re-signed? I think a lot of people are reading a lot too much into the timing with Harley. Has seemed for a while that the "he's leaving" chatter has been nothing but speculation and nothing has really changed there, if anything has been more signs on our favour. He seems decently happy lately considering the circumstances and if there was any actual evidence he was looking around people would at least be hinting that there was something solid.

Exactly. Don’t hear everyone reporting daily about McKercher, Walter, Duursma, Curtin, Sanders not extending. Absolute circus.

Can one of the naysayers please give me the Hitouts To Advantage for English today.

We all know that’s the only stat that matters in not going harder for him.

Those 3 goals, 27 touches.

Just window dressing…

Harley generates clicks.

Nobody cares about the others and probably couldn't even name most of them.

Name a player who was highly chased after, was from another state and who refused contract negotiations by the start of their last contracted 12 months who didn't eventually leave.

If he has decided to stay by the end of the season then his manager will be telling him to sign. Because the money is not going to get any better than the staggering contracts he is already being offered. But it could go down if bad things happen in his life. Lets say he gets into an accident or something.

There is evidence he is going. The Victorian clubs are talking to his manager as they regularly talk to all player managers. And they are all totally convinced he is leaving. Luke Hodge, who apparently talks to him regularly and is acting as a mentor for him, is loudly saying that he is leaving. And if he talks to him every week then he would be in a position to know. And lets be honest, if you were Reid would you want to stay at a wooden spoon club on the other side of the country from your family and friends that is rife with disharmony and divisions?

I don't want him to leave. But i am not walking around with rose coloured glasses on ignoring reality.

I can't, but I can tell you he used a Ronson S1200 hairdryer on his hair this morning. Every follicle was perfectly in place.

Where has Hodge said he's leaving?

He's also only spoken with him once, that we know of.
