Maybe promises were made by brissy , don't know but just seemed like a strange decision not to go to WC given it was common knowledge the Ashcroft's and whoever else were going to be ahead of him in the pecking order.

Even his coach was surprised he stayed. Not sure I want someone who makes poor decisions and likes to self sabotage

Trading Jack Williams would be a huge fumble.

If Baz Williams finishes the year strongly we send him back to a Vic club for a 2nd rounder. Maybe even trade him to the Magpies with hawks 2nd for Cameron

Why do we need to trade Bailey Williams? To me we're in need of a key defender especially if McGovern is retired. Why can't Williams fill the role that Barrass did?
He's tall enough, strong enough. He can mark, he has aggression to win the ball both in the air and when it hits the ground & he has some pace - quicker than say H Edwards.
Added to that he offers game experience & has shown a determination to compete hard in every game he plays despite knowing he's likely to be beaten in most games by ruckman who are taller &/or heavier. That's an attribute that shouldnt be ignored.

Can anybody else see this?

I posted a while ago that the only way I see BWilliams in the 22 in the medium term is as a KPD and it makes sense to trial him there before his contract ends next year.

Gotta fill that 24hr news cycle somehow.
Check out their mug shots:

Smillie: "FIGJAM"
O'Sullivan: Animal Mother from Full Metal Jacket
Langford: Looks like he was one of the founding fathers who wrote the US Constitution
Lalor: "I bangt your daughter"
Armstrong: "Not guilty, Your Honour"
Lindsay: Looks like he's on the opening credits to a whole US family sitcom like Happy Days. Potsy.
Berry: "I bangt your girlfriend good, brah"
Hynes: "Guilty, Your Honour"
Gross: "Come an get me boys, I'm all slippery and wet"

I hope we don't waste a good pick on a 30 year old ruck. Completely unnecessary as we're not contending, and won't be for years.
Same but I think the rumblings will be true and we'll either trade Hawks 1st for him or we'll split pick 1 and use something for him.

We get tempted by these things it seems

Not letting Allen go and allowing Jack Williams to leave would be stupid as shit.

Looking at our KPD stocks and looking at our WAFL team recently, is there a case that A Reid/Livingstone/Shanahan are all more than capable?

I thought Shanahan showed he is already a high ceiling player wherever he gets played, what a performance to shut down Keitel! He looks absolutely capable of KPF or KPD.

Livingstone continues too impress in the ruck and forward with his strength and agility, his sheer efforts make him a very decent prospect tall, he probably doesn't have first rights to the KPF spot but he is growing as a ruck and I would actually like to see him as a KPD trial. He seems to do a decent job wherever he is played.

A Reid's goal kicking? Maybe can be fixed, but he is an already high end athlete for his size. I actually think he is going to mature into our next ruck, his ruck craft for someone so young and seems to be growing every time he plays. Do we have our next top tier ruck or is he KPD/Ruck?
All 18-19 kids in the KP world of talls and have at least 2-3 years of development before they are really ready for AFL.

Yes, Livingstone really surprised me last night. He showed alot more than I was expected, and was very good given the conditions.

Shanahan looks very good up forward, but he looked even better down back last night. That was his best game for us so far this year.

Reid played better up the ground than in F50 for mine. His contest work up the ground and his field kicking were great, I think he would be a great CHF, we just need to work on his set shots. He's clearly lost confidence in it.

I actually think Livingstone could be a KPD player with a bit of developing, and looks better than just a WAFL ruck which he is actually performing well at for his age.

I've always had a big opinion of him. Watch most of the WAFL always puts himself in dangerous positions.
Cheers, I have only watched the last few WAFL games on TV and you don't get the full picture but he seems to be developing at a fast rate into a versatile KP player.
