  • Bo might be a bust, and that would suck, but we move on and will find draft wins elsewhere. MReid might also drop off a cliff, who knows. Drafting is imprecise and teams miss all the time.

Nail on head...for the older ones of us out there, remember when Rhys Palmer won the rising star? For the younger ones...yes, Rhys Palmer really did win the rising star award!! Murphy has had an exceptional year, but things can change quickly in the AFL.

As others have noted, our midfield is lacking elite runners who can get to as many contests as possible.

Harley and Hewett are burst players, unclear with Sharp but I recall there being question marks about his endurance earlier in the year. Gross doesn’t have an AFL standard tank yet.

Tsatas and Erasmus would fit the bill. Solid but unspectacular options who will help round out the midfield. Duursma as well I think will impress in 2km/shuttle testing.
Isn’t a lot of the issues with Tsatas and Erasmus their 2 way running? Something they can certainly improve on.

No.

Tom Mitchell is out of contract. 32. Played 9 games in last two years. He's borderline cooked.

I'd rather use Hawks first, and our second to move up in the draft.

Tom Mitchell is so far cooked beyond well done he's congratulations.

Would rather Starcevich then Ah Chee

Don't believe we should trade for Starcevich in anyway . Straight to PSD. I would offer pick 32 for Starcevich and pick 40 odd only as my first and final offer
You seem to be negotiating against yourself and losing...

Starcevich is not walking to the PSD and stitching up the club who drafted him and he just won a flag with.

Scofield saying he's heard whispers about a Suns fwd that may want to go to WC?
Anyone got a name?

Only one that would make sense is Jed Walter.

It’s not short sighted at all. Everyone understands Cameron will not play in a flag at WCE, but he will allow our young mids first use of the ball for a change instead of chasing opposition

Do not agree. It's short sighted to get Cameron in. Reality is that Pendlebury, daicos, Sidebottom and the like are superior midfield players to get to where pre-determined tap is going to be. Cameron isn't Naitanui mate to make miracles happen with midfield.

Isn't Cameron's intercept marking almost elite this year?

Not miracles but vastly improved. Tell me which kids you take at 32 and 48 that project as a better investment?

We take 1,2,12 and 3-4 NGAs, we don’t need two more draftees in the 30s and 40s on top of that.

Not sure why a second year Gold Coast academy player would want to come here but given he was "pick 3" they would want a king's ransom for him.

Eagles supporter wasn't he growing up? Perth born.

Bit of media talking Malcolm Rosas is getting itchy feet. Richmond chasing.

Not sure if one and the same player Schoey is talking about.
