IT IS quite possible that this great Geelong team that has thrilled us over the past four seasons is getting better. It played against Port Adelaide, Hawthorn and St Kilda in the past three grand finals and it would be fair to say that while the Cats have maintained/improved their output, the other three haven't.

Full of Walls cliches and repetitions but not a bad read. Don't think Varcoe is 19 though - if that's true he must have been drafted at 15 or so!

Yes, Varcoe is 22 so he's off the mark there but you couldn't ask for a bigger wrap for a team than Walls gives here. He finishes off with the line "They are a joy to watch." which I think all of us can agree with.

Think Robbie's investigative reporting would be up to it's usual Inspector Clouseau standards. Would have scrolled down the player list and got to Varcoe (A) first, and thought "ah, there's my man...hmm... younger than I thought". Anyone of his ilk should have some sense for how long he has been on the scene, and what drafting ages are and know that he couldn't be 19. The man is just a bit dumb, but unfortunately full of his own beliefs when it comes down to it. Even when he is trying to pay compliment to the GFC he presents how little he really knows (and has always known) about what really goes on there.
