Evidently when she checked that board into Brisbane airport it was a couple kilos below the limit and didn't incur a surcharge. evidently when it got to Sydney, it put on nearly 5 kilos and went over that limit.

You can look at it a number of ways.

-she paid the guy weighing the bag to say it was lighter to avoid the 25 or so dollar fee.
- the scales were dodgy
-the operator was incompetent in his/her duties that day.
-dope was added by baggage handlers at Brisbane.
- scales at Sydney were dodgy
- attendant at Sydney was incompetent.

Now if this was the only thing that was being used to pronounce her innocence, you wouldn't make much of it.

Here is the warning i posted on the media board

This is about the alleged AFP and ABC media corruption and coverup over the shapelle corby case.

Admittedly, I always thought she was guilty so I found the content in this alarming and entirely depressing (if true - and it seems to be).

Warning - there are some annoying aspects of this doco. E.g. the narrator, between every revelation of a cover up, appears (dressed in corporate attire) on screen for 2 seconds and says "and there's more"

The formula goes
1. "revelation................."
2. a picture of a police badge
3. the narrator "and there's more"
4. a picture of a police badge
5. "revelation..............."

repeat

It's actually funny

There is some good content in the documentary

If number of times traveled to Bali is some kind of indicator to drug smuggling then half out country would be locked up over there

True. But wasn't a sibling of hers convicted on drug charges not long after she was? I once met a customs officer, who told me the family was known in Bali as being drugs pushers. Could be complete BS, but there is at least some corroborating evidence.

Yeah her younger brother was done I believe and her old man was involved as well.

Older and younger brothers I believe.

Interesting point someone told me is that her younger brother was there on the day she got caught red handed. He left and has never been back to Indo, not even for a single visit. Not even to watch the trial.

If that is true, why?

It would be a hell of a coincidence if baggage handlers chose a bag at random to put the drugs in that belonged to someone in a family of drug dealers.

I like how it was a perfectly wrapped package of weed that had been specifically put together to fit exactly to the size and shape of her bag.

Wonders never cease

Never really paid much attention to the "baggage handler" theory. How was it supposed to work? Obviously they put the stuff in her bag to get it into Bali. What was their plan for getting it back later?

The baggage handlers at the other end would take it out im guessing, goes in after customs etc and out again before.

I know a few baggage handlers, a couple of them were quite senior (supervisors etc, as senior as you can be as a baggage man I guess), they’ve always said that whole story / excuse is completely absurd. It’s what made me suspicious of her as soon as it all happened.

Baggage blokes putting packages of drugs in random people’s luggage to transport to their baggage mates interstate / overseas? It’s ridiculous, it could never be done with any secrecy, the amount of people that would need to be “in on it” makes it a conspiracy theory – ie complete bulltwang.

The whole idea of some sophisticated international smuggling conspiracy wasting their time exporting pot from Australia to Bali seems absurd to me. If such a network was in place they would be smuggling high level narcotics or other high value items into Australia. Bulk amounts of low level drugs like pot indicate to me an unsophisticated conspiracy, like a family of bogan petty criminals.
