Cornes and Walls are just washed up baby boomer hacks who can't come to grips with the fact that they were sacked from coaching 15 and 12 years ago respectively. They then try to hide their lack of relevance to the game this century by complaining that footy isn't as tough as it used to be in the "glory days."

Been reading this thinking "Cornes vs Walls...now there's a contest I wish I' heard..NOT!!!"

Obviously it didn't happen this time, but generally one thing I notice with Walls is that he will have an opinion on something, a player or team, but then if someone else disagrees with him he just backs down and agrees with them. Anyone else noticed that?

Hmm in a Cornes v Walls showdown I'm barracking for the ad-break. I dislike Cornes and his smug know it all attitude. I cant stand the Walls state the bleeding obvious condescending voice.

Cornesy cant help being anti-Vic, he was coached by Knuckles for all those years. It would have seeped into his dna via osmosis.

I'll tell you why the media covering football in Victoria dont want to make the hard calls - because they've all been told to shut up in case they say something to upset Uncle Andy who will then pull the rights. It's quite obvious.

Whilst I dont necessarily disagree with Graham's point of view on this issue, the thing is we South Aussies draw arguments along State lines too often. It makes us sound whiny and downtrodden and it really undermines any valid argument we might put forward. Graham didnt have to make his point along state boundaries, it would have been just as valid, and more credible, if he had just said "the media".

I'm about to jump on a plane so I'll just quickly post to say that while Cornes has some legitimate points about the lack of equity in the competition and the lack of say the interstate (I don't understand why people are so upset by that terms) clubs get in the AFL compared to the percentage of players and supporters they bring, the way he went about that segment was embarassing and just makes us South Australians look like whingy idiots. I usually stick up for Cornes but that segment really turned me off.

I just listened to the podcast.

Cornesy was so embarrassing. At first he had a point but then he just went overboard. Wallsy sounded confused about where the attack was coming from and even Rowey sounded embarrassed.
He goes "I don't know where Cornesy is going with this"

It was cringe-worthy listening.

Also I follow FIVEaa on Twitter and it said they were going to have Wayne Carey on last night but I didn't hear him... was he on?

Cornes must be on the grumpy pills this week - today he was going hammer and tong at Rowie over disgraced Port runner David Arnfield

And so he should. Arnfield is a first-class ****wit. The only thing Jared Brennan did wrong last weekend is that he didn't headbutt the runner as well.

Very rarely do either Cornes or Walls say anything worth listening to. However i must say I havn't listened to them much in the last 3 years so they may have imprpved, though I doubt it.

Jars where do you get your local sport fix then?

I listen to SEN online but you never get any Crows or Power news.
