I’m struggling to wrap my head around how stupid we have become as a society. I can’t help but every now and then join in a little debate on Facebook because occasionally I like to put some people in their place. I respond with facts, with a different viewpoint to their mainstream media driven fear view, and they can’t take it. I have an argument for everything they try and throw back at me.

It seems the ability to think logically and critically has totally been eradicated and honestly I think I blame the media. The media tells them everything they think they need to know. They don’t feel the need to actually challenge the rubbish they are fed. I’ve had enough. I give them cold, hard statistics, and yet they don’t want it. It’s unbelievable. The 24/7 media cycle along with social media has been a massive force in dumbing down society for a while now, it's been what a good ten years of ramming down useless opinionated stories and views as facts at us. As a society we have become to comfortable in people telling us what to do and how to think, filming useless garbage on our phones, having a social profile as a tool to make any Tom, Dick and Harry.. any individual feel important, which is no surprise it lead us to where we are now. Covid has highlighted how gullible we are and how easy it is to control the masses through controlled media and fearmongering. People on social platforms and forums today don't debate or have a useful constructive conversations anymore without trolling or abuse. Sure your had d*ckhead and trolls posting in the past but now its like every topic and discussion particular the political stuff is dealt with anger and abuse. It really sadden's me how much of this shit I find here on Bigfooty compared to when I first started posting on here almost ten years ago!
