You mean if only Australia had leaders that believe in God?

When we started in March last year we were told we needed to stem the flow to protect the hospitals from reaching capacity

Has anyone seen a single policy that allowed for extra resourcing, more nurses, more hospital equipment at all?

Seems odd to try to prevent the max use of a service and then not increase the maximum that service can produce. If we ran out of water like in Cape Town a while back. do you think they were be like “we need to save water because once this is all gone we wont have any”. Umm no, they started up desalination plants, provided water from underground reserves, you know increased capacity...

When it comes to nurses or well creating more work for people though, I guess the governments don’t want to get involved...

Australian College of Critical Care Nurses chief executive Rand Butcher said health authorities had spent months working to boost surge capacity, which required physical beds, ventilators, monitoring equipment and specially-trained nurses, along with ICU drugs and personal protective equipment.

The federal government has amassed 7500 ventilators and 220 million masks in the national medical stockpile and has trained up 15,807 nurses to work in intensive care, including 5619 in Victoria. The state government has separately trained an additional 1629 ICU nurses.

Mr Butcher said the extra Victorian nurses trained through the program could staff 1445 intensive care beds under current clinical standards, which allocate one nurse to every patient, with about five nurses staffing each bed on a seven-day roster.

I'm sure the Tanzanian President is a paragon of good virtue.

Nevermind he's opposed to birth control and homosexuals. And dismisses the entire concept of vaccines because they haven't invented one for AIDS.

Your kind of person by the sounds of it.

People are opposed to all kinds of different things, Not everyone has to agree on everything just to make everyone else happy or feel comfortable to fit in with society.

That's fantastic. With that in mind, maybe we could return to some sensible, proportional policy around restrictions as we've achieved the goal of restrictions in the first place. Ensuring our hospitals are prepared.

Probably doesn't help when your President actively makes being homosexual illegal, refuses international aid for AIDS/HIV, is anti-vaccines (all of them) and anti-birth control.

You really want to plant your flag on the 'but the trustworthy Tanzanian President said it's not real' hill?

Remember Tanzania? They exposed the PCR tests at high replications were finding SARS CoV 2 in pawpaw and goats. 7 months later WHO now backs this finding, releasing a warning to decrease the replication cycles which were giving too many false positives.

Maybe because Tanzania's president John Magufuli, holds a doctorate in chemistry and can understand when he's being lied to? He's also warned about vaccinated people bringing in a strange corona virus strain to the country.

Read Dr Clancy's warning on antigen shifting and even Bill Gates latest monologue warning on vaccinated people being exposed to "wild corona". Thousands of scientists warning against ADE, which is the reason there has never been a mRNA vaccine approved for humans before.

Fatalities are low, despite no social distancing or lockdowns, but you are dismissing him as some sort of ignorant evil religious depot. Why? Because he's black?

Oh look ... a meta analysis showing IVM returns positive results in 100% of studies.

Early treatment reducing deaths and serious effects of COVID by 82%

Prophylactic use also shows high effectiveness.

So why are we making an experimental mRNA vaccine, never before approved for human use, that won't be reporting on phase 3 safety and efficacy until January 2023, compulsory if you want to travel out of your State?

Didn't take you long to go there.
That was your bigoted and and ignorant post! Showed your true colours trying to be a hero!

Imagine not realising the President of Tanzania has a doctorate in Chemistry and understands the fake science behind PCR tests, that 7 months later the WHO had to own up to. He is well qualified can evaluate the safety efficacy data in vaccine studies to decide whether he wants them for his country or not.

Imagine being the person bringing up race, then trying to label the other person as racist.

You do realise you made a completely irrelevant argument, right?

Not at all; the poster was bringing up the Tanzanian President as an example of the kind of politician they wish we had here.

Despite the Tanzanian President having a fairly poor record when it comes to human rights for homosexuals, believing that God will protect people from a virus, not believing in vaccines of any kind.

Don't see how race is relevant to any of the above.

Are people really that paranoid? This is ridiculous. People have just been bombarded and listened without question.
People just want to be kept safe. Safe from what thou?
What are people really afraid of? It can't be the virus as they wouldn't pack the supermarkets.
Are they scared into compliance? Or scared of authority so they comply like Stockholm Syndrome?
Why is everyone so afraid? Even if the black death hits London conditions here are so different it isn't the same.
A year a whole year and the virus is shown to not be serious at all with a greater than 99% survival and people still want to live like this. Why?

Its amazing how dirty politics is, how insanely stupid the lifelong public servants in it are yet they have such staunch supporters...

Theyre no smarter than anyone else and with less morals. But they shut the entire city and everyone thanks them?!
Exactly. And they have supporters and cheerleaders like the footy. There was even Andrews and Sutton memorabilia sold ffs. Are people that befeft they need to live through them? Ridiculous.
