Missus is from a small town in Tipp, even they have a knacker community, and some bloody nice houses built for them 5+ years ago which they refused to move into, took years for the council and finally the guards to move them in.. sill have all their shit where they used to be
Which town?

Princess I have drunk in places that would make you wet your pants.

krakouers85 - I spent one fine afternoon drinking in The Felon's Club on the Falls Road.

Beat the Provos at pool on their own table.

Some of them convinced themselves me and my mate were agents, but the olf fellas said, very wisely "The Brits wouldn't be dumb enough to come in here and beat us on our own table, these are mad Australian boys."

They did check our IDs though lol.
I lived in Belfast for the best part of a year and drank there regularly. It kind of depends on your upbringing, but being Irish catholic heritage, I always found it comfortable.

Places like the Vines in Frankston in the late 80s was far more terrifying.

Remember standing in the p!ssing rain near Galway humming this beauty

Everyone thinks it is the most Oirish song ever - it is actually about an English town (Salford).

You got me remembering now, the marching season was always full on in belfast, probably still is. Even though belfast has mellowed considerably, a certain amount of rioting and burning out cars is tradition.

Thurles

Edit: Ireland is such a small country, i wouldn't be shocked to know people who know someone else on here
Thurles ain't that small. I have family there and went to watch the Munster Hurling Club Championships at Semple Stadium there many moons ago. I'd be pretty confident that your girlfriend would either know a cousin of mine, or a friend of a cousin of mine.

I went to a cafe this morning to get a take away coffee.
“Sorry mate can’t do keep cups, corona and all, you know.”
Yeah mate no problem, Understand not catching a virus is more important than the environment.
“Yeah what can you do. $4,50 please....oh sorry we cant take cash either “
I look at the tips bucket with about $80 of notes in it.
“Yeah no problem, so can I have your tips then, seeing you can’t handle them”
“Um, um, um ah ah, um. No, Um, it’s just, um, I don’t know, um, continually handling cash”
“Yeah, no problem, but if you don’t want my cash you don’t want my tip”

Madness.

Garner, I also have family there too mate, at least we would be related in some capacity :P

Yeah I had no problems there at all, with my name.

The Giggle Twins bagging Julia at the same bemoaning lack of funding for science:

I'm surprised Snake and Groin claim to be libertarians/anarchists when they clearly love being publicly owned.

(Yes I stole that joke)
Making a joke = bagging now does it :drunk:. I know you modern-day whiners like to make a big deal over every little thing but I like Rudd and Julia. I vote Labor at a National level.

You see in the normal world (not the hypocritical crying you see frequent social media and on here at times) you can make jokes and receive them back with interest. Far better than subscribing to that cosmo psych 101 of "every joke has some truth to it and jokes oppress women" :$

RIP Al Bundy

My mothers side are from southern Tipp, with family now in Clonmel, Cashel and Thurles amongst other locations spread out around Ireland and the world. She was one of 14, so there is a very high chance that you are actually a cousin!

July for the Orange Parade, but yeah, most of the time its a normal city.... some of us grew up with associating Northern Ireland with nothing but Riots and Bombings, could not recommend a safer and welcoming country even now

Edit: and August for the Derry Apprentices

Manager Customer Operations Steve Dunlop said with many people turning to tissues, wet wipes and even paper towel to use in the toilet, customers are reminded that these items simply aren’t flushable and can have serious consequences for the environment and community.

“We know they all look flushable, but the reality is, not all paper is created equally. Most of these products are designed to absorb water, not break down. They block the system and cost customers as well as Coliban Water money,” Mr Dunlop said.

Only the three Ps can be flushed; pee, poo and toilet paper.

WE'RE OK WITH PLAYING: MACMILLAN

AFLPA board member and North Melbourne defender Jamie Macmillan says the players are largely on board with playing this weekend, after being told the risks of transmission in a game are the same as in society.

"Playing a game of a football versus going about your day to day life, we're in the same risk profile for contracting the virus," Macmillan told the club's website.

"It's a sign that we should just continue business as usual … if that changes it's something well consider it then

"It's not something we can answer straight away ... it's something we have to take hour by hour at the moment.

"The players have said they're willing to play as long as all the advice suggests their health and safety aren't at risk and that of the wider community aren't as risk as well.

"That's the advice we've been given so far, so at the minute, the players have said they're keen to get the season started.

"In the sense, it's a bit out of our hands so we'll take the advice of the professionals."

Jamie Macmillan says the players have been told games are safe.

Macmillan also said the players had discussed taking a pay cut for the shorter season but the final percentage or figure had not been settled on.

"We'll all be chipping in … exactly what the number looks like, it's all talk at the minute but we'll get to a number at some stage I'm sure," he said.

"We understand it's our responsibility to the game as well, we have to make sure we do whatever we can to make sure we get through these times.

"I've got friends and family in a similar boat, they're going to feel it and we're going to feel it as well."

This is always where it could get ugly...

Pakistan has recorded its biggest single-day spike in coronavirus infections, taking the tally to 184, amid reports of ineffective quarantine procedures as 134 of those are reported to be among those who had been held at a quarantine camp at the country's Taftan border crossing with Iran.
"[The spike in cases] was mainly because of the people who came from Taftan. They had been quarantined there, and then we moved them to our own facility where we tested them," said Meeran Yousuf, spokesperson for Sindh province’s health minister.

People currently in the Taftan camp told Al Jazeera they were not being adequately screened for coronavirus or treated for existing conditions. They also complained of squalid living conditions at the facility, which is housing hundreds of people.
