1) He is not an "expert" on this subject (note how I call in to question his professional position?).
2) Therefore, he is not an "advisor" on this subject.
3) Your judgements ARE based upon political affiliations.
4) You ARE an obsessed stalker.
1,2- he's the one advising the government. Are we to assume they are relying on expert advise or not? You can't have it both ways
3- show me how
4- I'm just calling out hypocrisy as I scrolled past it.

Believe me I'd rather see less contradictory stuff from you so I didn't have to bring it to attention but many people here are taking your word on a lot of things right now. Who's to say what's bs and what isn't when dealing with someone who seems to talk out of both sides of their mouth.

He's the ONLY ONE advising the government?

It's self evident in your persistent behavior. BTW, stop sending me P.M.'s.

You're not in any position to "call out" anything as you are completely ****ing clueless in the first place. Your premise is built upon your own delusion.

Believe me, I care nought for your opinion on this subject.

Seeing my earlier posts are becoming reality I will now give you some balance.

My dear mum aged 84 who was a kid during WW2 told me about what they went through.

They were allocated a thick slice of bread and a small amount of cheese everyday. This was the only source of food that was supplied by the Govt. There was no other food source unless you were very wealthy or owned your own farming land.

She explained that sometimes that one slice of bread she got would be cut in quarters and she would give her younger brother or sister extra to stop them crying from hunger for a little while.

The moral of the story is that today’s society including most posters on here are selfish pricks that only think of themselves.

Most posters on here have cupboards, fridges and FREEZERS full of food, and are still worried they might miss out on something, and couldn’t give a stuff about the next person.

Everyone needs to take a good hard look at themselves and make do with what you have in your cupboards for a few days instead of shopping everyday to stock up on another item you might need.

Regards, Goodnight

And you can take that to the Bank.

l totally agree but it’s those same people who horded the toilet paper that are ones buying everything in sight.
its a basic need to survive and the pressure to feed families etc, left to their own devices they take more than they should.

If this gets much worse than all shopping may be done online and rationed,

It's an excellent example of the underlying fragility of contemporary society.

I sent you 1(one) PM asking you to not assume I'm posting political ads. Yet all I ever get from you is insults rather than discourse.
If you care so little, please, feel free to stop replying to me.

I think you're giving the hoarders too much credit. I suspect most of them have a life long ambition to appear on A Current Affair.

Speaking to mates in Tokyo, Nagoya & Setagaya.
Distinct lack of toilet paper as well.

Asked them about the Olympics. Two say cancel, one says not.
There's no debate. That have to be cancelled.

The problem is not isolating the elderly, but how long you have to isolate for. You can get someone to stay at home for a few weeks, maybe a month, what happens in 6+ months?

Not everyone is going to contract it at the same time.

I think they are playing a dangerous game, because having a large number of infections at once will overload the health system, even though younger people have a low fatality rate, something like 10% still need hospitalisation. I wouldn't be comfortable making that call given there is a prospective cure later in the year, no country I am aware of is capable of providing intensive care to 10% of it's population over a short period of time.

Have you seen that bucket of water tweet and analogy someone posted that Tef shared? I get the idea but It has heaps of potential to **** up and one single point of failure that is massive.

It will be shit for a while, especially on weekends. Trucks usually come in during the night and the major re-stocking occurs after 3am so going early morning before work on a weekday will probably yield best results.

Our biggest problem is going to be the supply chain rather than running out of product, we only have so many trucks and containers, even if you were to double or triple output, we wouldn't have the means to move that much stock in a short period of time, it is not like we have a dormant supply of trucks and containers able to move double or triple our normal quantity of goods over a sustained period of time.

For years out here in the bush people would whinge about the city mob then say things like "We need a three day truck strike. That'll ****'em. They won't ignore us then" And other similar comments.

This will be similar.

So Dan Andrews has declared a state of emergency for Victoria.

Going a step further (a few), what would it take to declare martial law? Snake_Baker Kangaroos4eva

Dunno and don't really care either mate.

I stopped listening to governments a long time ago.

Under the state of emergency, authorised officers can detain people, restrict movement, prevent entry to premises, or providing any other direction ”reasonable to protect public health”.

Gives the police additional powers in ensuring that quarantines and testing are adhered to, as well as ensure that government directives are being followed through, ie the 14 day mandatory self-quarantine measures are properly enforced.

If you are referring to martial law with the armed forces, only the federal government can authorise them, not that I expect that they will.
