what covid tracking sites are people using to get the numbers?
For Australian figures this is good as they update it everyday and some of the charts are informative.

The testing regimes in each state are different though but the trend appears to be our friend.

The lack of traffic on the roads means heading heading to and from work is taking half the time now.

I did hear on the radio there's been a 20 percent increase on people calling lifeline. They cannot afford a lockdown. The damage it will do will make the virus death toll look like a picnic.

Went to Aldi today to do the weekly shop. They now have red lines at the checkout to keep everyone 1.5 mt apart. While I was paying for my items an elderly woman barged through to grab one of the dividers that separates everyone's items on the conveyor belt. In doing so she rubbed up against the woman behind me in the line. We both called her out and asked he to observe the social distancing rules. She reluctantly moved back and in an act of defiance started tossing her items onto the conveyor from a couple of metres away. FMD there are some morons out there. Surely we could pimp slap (gloved hand of course) these inconsiderate fckuwits. I joke of course, violence is never a solution but it is the behaviour of these intellectual giants that puts us all (including themselves) at greater risk. All because she couldn't be bothered waiting an extra minute in the line. Defies logic really, when she is in one of the highest risk groups.

Still getting stupid blokes at work saying shit like " the normal flu kills thousands every yr and nobody cares. This is a media beat up"etc etc.

??????
Hmmmm I'm trying to remember the last time Spain had to convert an ice skating rink into morgue because of the regular flu.
I also can't remember America turning hospital carparks into morgues because of the usual winter sniffles.
This is so condensed with is capability to kill the old or sick in such a short time that it is extremely serious.

Yep, when did the flu ever close international and state borders. Never in recent history. The CV is far more deadlier than the flu ten fold.

No, but what has that got to do with Comrade Andrews?

Sydney is the most densely populated city in Aus and NSW is massive. It will always be worse there.

it's affected everywhere.

they snuck the boat in at the dead of night at 2am and let them all go on their business despite having ambulances there to move some of the sick to hospitals

now 1/3 to 1/2 of all infections in WA, the other side of the country are from that ship. i imagine melb would have a similar breakdown if not more.

you take that out and our numbers would be closer to NZ

Ummm .....nothing to do with the Ruby Princess cruise ship debacle in NSW ???? Your language re comrade Andrews is pathetic.

Total cases – 257. 53 are Ruby P related

Those in government in NSW and Federally need to take responsiblity

Yes, LNP is bad at everything. Comrade Andrews has been excellent on both the bushfires and CV19 and never put a foot wrong. How did I miss that!

We aren’t sitting on our hands. We are trying to manage the economy and the virus. Figures are going down percentage wise so at the moments let’s see if the semi lockdown works.
It was in response to the implication that we'll be banking on 'herd immunity' when that isn't guaranteed to work, and would result in many deaths.

It's looking like we'll have to wait and see over the next couple weeks how effective this lower level shutdown is, and I hope it does flatten the curve, but I'm worried about this getting out of control and us ending up having to just go to a tighter lockdown anyway.

Cool. You talk as if the virus understands borders and who leads which state.

the virus doesn't

but the federal LNP and state LNP government decided it was a good idea to let a boat from international waters into the country, then sneak them into our communties at 2am

if that event doesn't happen, our numbers are a lot less and a lot more manageable.

you don't agree with that?

So you want to go into a tight lockdown , to prevent us going into a tight lockdown.

Who knows. I'm not a virus expert or a doctor.

Lots more mistakes and issues to come from all sides.

NSW numbers are inflated because of the cruise ship passengers. It's disingenuous to say NSW are doing a worse job than Victoria under these circumstances.
I am impressed with Daniel Andrews though. I'm not a Labor guy, but out of all the figures in charge of dealing with this crisis, he's got to be amongst the best.
