Cory McGrath.... Traded for Justin Murphy from Essendon. 181 cm, 87 kg, 27 years old. Does he have a future at our club??? or should we trade him?

Never was a star, never will be.

Solid player, valuable addition to our side.

Would not be worth trading him, not many clubs would look at him anyway.

Happy to see him finish his days at Carlton. Not a great player, but is very servicable, despite reasonably poor disposal.

I wouldn't trade him for 2 reasons:

1) not that much trade value

2) I hear he is a super team man at the club. We definitely need a few of these in the next two or three years to build young guys self esteem.

Honestly in the next couple of years he will slowly be pushed into retirement or delisting with all the talent we will get but not this year, or prob next.

He is a solid player and will be a good back-up player next year, in the event of injuries. he will probably play a lot of games in the two's next year, but he is good for depth. Keep him for a bit longer.

Depending on contracts and how many players we are planning to draft will determine Corys future. He has been serviceable, but at 27 years and with players like Teague, Deluca and some others having contracts he may be traded or delisted at the end of the year. I think hell more than likely stay on the list though.
