Obviously the two best players from the 07 draft. Both guns, but which one would you prefer in your side for the rest of their career?

dangerfield's hardness is invaluable... very few players can do what he can

Patrick Dangerfield is one of my favourite non-North players (along with Jetta, Fyfe, Ablett & Sidebottom).

But Trent Cotchin is something else. Absolutely hard as nails, but with all the poise to go with it. That kick vs Essendon last night, I almost spat my drink out because I thought it unfathomable Cotchin could make a mistake, especially a bad one like that.
More then made up for it though like a true leader :thumbsu:

Id take Cotchin ahead of just about any young player in the comp right now, but I can't help but be biased towards Danger and wouldn't trade him for ANY player.
Watching Cotchin last night reminded me so much of Ablett.
His movement in traffic, his skills (even his kicking action sometimes), his awareness, and running ability. Seriously good.

But watching danger smash into contests, burst out of packs, and attack the ball like a man possessed is something I've come quite accustomed too :)

Dangerfield, along with Nat Fyfe are the two players I'd want at the Tigers. Not at the expense of Cotchin though. Dangerfield is a gem and I hope the Crows can hold onto him :thumbsu:

Cotchin has been playing at this level for a bit longer than Dangerfield and has been more consistent.

Dangerfield could oneday overtake but at this stage I'm not sure if there is a player in the comp I would have over Cotchin (if you are factoring in age).

No disrespect to Cotchin, because he is a gun, and if i could choose any Tiges player at the Pies it would be him, but Dangerfield is a beast. He is hard, skilled, built like a bull, and as tough as one.

I know Cotchin has been playing better for longer, but i reckon the ceiling for Dangerfield is higher.

My favourite Tiger vs my favourite non-Tiger.

Dangerfield has him covered for pace and marking ability, which allows him to double up as a forward. Cotchin has him covered for foot skills and poise in traffic.

I won't vote just due to bias.

Cotchin for me. The boy is incredible, his center of gravity is phenomenal when moving through packs and his ability to now influence a game is slowly becoming elite like the usual suspects.

Dangerfield is a beauty but he doesn't kick enough goals just yet.
Cotchin has been at this high level for over 18 months now although 2012 he's gone to another level.

Looks like he's got one of those strong backs like the Ablett's (huge trapezium's) where all the power and natural strength come from and ye....and absolute ripping player.

I like Dangerfield but wouldn't even consider trading him for Cotchin.

Both are strong, danger quicker, cotchin more agile, overhead marking they are both elite for mids, goal kickers.

I see people are saying Dangerfield is hard at the contest to a suicidal point of view and that's why they would take him. Cotchin is the hardest player I have seen at Richmond...maniac the way he goes for the hard ball head first.

The key differences between the two is Cotch cops heavy tag (Danger is starting too), is more consistent....BUT THE KEY is Cotchins kicking is elite where as Dangerfields is somewhat questionable.

Cotch!

Cotchin is going to be a superstar and has had a better career to date, but exposing on current form, Dangerfield is exacly the type we need. He has a lot more hurt factor with his ability to break lines.

However I do get the feeling that quality longevity will land in Cotch's favor.

Cale Morton is the best player from that draft, followed closely by David Myers so this poll is completely pointless.

The Cotch is quite easily my favourite non-Hawthorn player. The girl goes for Richmond and so I see the Tiges play a lot, so I've bore witness to a lot of Cotch's greatness but when he unleashed that handball on the wing against St. Kilda, I couldn't believe it. He's just a gun. Pure and simple.

Not to take anything away from Dangerfield, of course. He has far exceeded my expectations and I'd quite happily take both, but if I had to choose, probably Cotchin for that little bit of extra poise.
