Walking to the ground it was a very strong northerly, they all should of seen that pre game, couldn't of been more obvious. Interestingly port pick the end you did when we with the toss generally speaking, it's generally a south wester.

But in saying that we were jumping out of our skin. If only you could do that every week...

There's a lot more to football than clearances, contested possessions and tackles. For a start their uncontested possessions were through the roof and considering the number of times they had it and we were near them, our tackle count should have been a lot higher.

Look, I'm not saying the boys didn't try, they were spent and it showed, but the effort required to be successful and competitive at AFL is above what they produced, regardless of whether they tried or not. Just calling a spade a spade. Keep in mind I'm critical about our performance, but still optimistic for the future.

After 13 games we were equal last, you don't make the 8 from they unless a team can produce good football and have good leadership, unfortunately at the end of the day it doesn't matter this year, but it will still galvanize the playing group going forward.

We were actually winning uncontested possessions too.
Look we didn't play our best clearly, but by being so arrogant with the toss we never gave ourselves a chance to.

Would not of changed the game, they were just far too good, the first 5 minutes we fumbled, couldnt stick a tackle, turned it over, was always gonna be a long day after that, we move on now and hopefully fix a few cracks in the off season and get ready for round 1

Thats it really, nothing anyonr can do to change what happned on sunday.

I honestly don't think he is up to it when it comes to captaincy, yes he is good speaker and handles the media well, but 2 years ago when he was runner up to the brownlow he wasnt captain since then he has been a shell of his former self, goes missing in games, poor efficiency and doesnt step up in big games. After quarter time against port he had 7 touches. Their captain Boak had 33 for the game a goal and 10+ clearances. Cotch looked lost and beaten, would rather Rance who was showing fight and anger right until the end lead us!

Now I'm prepared to changed the title here if it wasn't his choice, by why in the world in an elimination final do we win the toss and decide to kick into a 4 goal breeze that was clearly noticeable at the ground, and give a bunch of front runners a head start!!!

Game over right there!
Read the opposition coaches comments and then change the thread title, Boak had to ask 3 times which way to kick, so it obviously wasn't as obvious as many thought.

29 disposals (22 contested) against Sydney
28 disposals against Adelaide
33 against Syndey the other time
27 against Freo
Those seem like big games against good opponents. Stop bullshiting, he had a slow patch in the middle of the year but his start and end were fantastic.
Realistically hes only had 3 bad games for the year. The collingwood game, the west coast game and the final.

Small things do become bigger things.

Sperm and egg turns into humans.
Tiny seeds turn into huge trees and kicking against the win was a small thing in the minds of some which became a huge thing as it planted more negative seeds into the players heads once Port scored a few quick goals with the help of the breeze.

We are a team that feeds on positivity and when down,go into our shells so that seed became mount everest in the end.

Minds at the half way point.

YOU TICK EVERY DAM BOX IN THIS COMPETITIVE ERA OF FOOTBALL.

It's hard enough as it is!

All those supporters that drove in cars and took trains, busses ,camels some may have divorce cases up because of it, who knows, bless you all.

We did our yards!
We ticked our box!

All the Tiger army who chanted till they nearly coughed up their spleens and gave their souls and passion and love to the club, bless you also.

Made the loss worth it for me seeing the mightiest supporter group in the country let their passion out.
