Re: Travis Cloke PB Goals Kicked in a Season

Would be VERY close between he, Pendles and Thomas.

The next month will decide for sure.

Would the suspension affect Thomas' chances at all? I know it's unlikely, but still, might give the boys a reason to focus most of their votes on Trav and Matrix.

He's on track.

We still need to play Gold Coast, Port, Essendon and Geelong. All teams he usually kicks a lot against, or would EXPECT him to kick a lot against.

He's a definite shot. Not sure he WILL, but better chance than he'll ever be.

It would be an outstanding achievement if he could. I don't yet have confidence he can keep up the goal kicking accuracy for the entire season, but hopefully will be proved wrong.

The fact is the only way he can win is by kicking accurately, because he doesn't create the amount goal scoring opportunities the other top candidates do.

I put money on him today @ $5.50 Think it's a good deal with 4 goals off the pace.

Buddy probably has one more suspension in him too:thumbsu:

Haha! I love the Geelong/Hawthorn rivalry!

Anyway, Cloke isn't likely to win but you never know. Our game plan doesn't really work to have Coleman medallist although with Dawes out it might help him a little.

Coleman not Copeland

Hope he wins both Sloth!

while discussing Travis, whether he wins the "coleman" or not how many goals do we think he'll end up with prior to the the finals?

Let's see we play (my guess at goals scored)

Suns v Bock = 4
Bombers v Fletcher = 4
Port v Carlisle = 4
Saints v Fisher = 2
Lions v Patfull = 4
Dockers v McPharlin = 2
Cats v Lonergan = 2

So please tell me if I'm getting carried away - but he could quite realistically hit around 62 - 65 goals this year - nice.

Disclaimer - that is if he stays near to goals and doesn't cop an injury/suspension naturally.

I hope not having his twin around for another few weeks doesnt affect him too much also.

To be honest with you people even if he doesnt kick 60 - i wont care he just does stuff that i really really love - tackles, assists, massive physical presence, 1%ers ie sheppards, knock ons, 2nd and 3rd efforts, and punching if he has to, keeping it in the area. I could imagine being a forward/teammate with Clokie would make you feel that bit bigger and bolder!

BTW he was doing all this stuff last year - just seems to have stepped it up again:thumbsu:

With Gwilt out Fisher is needed even more for rebounding; IMO he'll have Zac Dawson playing on him... make this a 6 ;)

He destroyed dawson last time he played on him didn't he?? Fisher isn't that great a 1 on 1 defender anyway... I would suggest he could kick 10 against the Saints.*

*Wishful thinking... lol

I'm bumping this.
Franklin out...
He Can Earn a share of the coleman with a cheeky 9. if he has 4 to 3/4 time, and we've put the cats away, the boys will be looking for him.
Not saying it will happen. But stranger things have. and if you wanna win the coleman you've got to be able to kick a big bag.
Go Trav.

wishfull thinking, if you think it might happen, you would get very good odds of Cloke being leading goal kicker for the round

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Trav's chances.

Lonergan is out and Harry Taylor can't be 100% coming off the concussion.

If the boys look for him, maybe get a couple of easy handpasses in the square, 2 goals in each of the first 3 quarters would make it very interesting in the last.

Needs to kick straight though.

Go Trav.
