I'm really, really excited by this guy. I think he has the potential to be anything. I know a few others rate his potential (Longy among others).

Could he be another Adam Goodes? Or is he going to be more like another player?

With his height and pace, I think he could turn out to be a gem that can tear teams a new ****************.

Also, given he's only young, when can we expect him to start putting together some form?

no big problem but its courtney dempsey, now i am also very excited about what he will do next season, he has alot of pace and talent, im hoping he does wat stanton did and have a massive second season.

I'm not expecting him to be a regular next season, but just some of the poise and class he showed in glimpses last season has me very excited.

I agree, hopefully by 2008 he can start to be an every week player, just needs to learn the pace of AFL footy a bit more and work on his game a little more both in the seniors and at Bendigo, but he has tonnes of potential that's for sure.

Everyone remembers his goal against the Swans at PP, his scoop and run against Geelong is a further sign of things to come

I like him but you can't compare him to Goodes. I dont think we will ever see Dempsey playing in the ruck. Unless he grows a foot over summer.

I dont think he'll have any problems with the pace of the game.

Im tipping he'll play 12-15 games next season. I think he's ready to play regular senior football.

not with his legs, with his brain, still looked a little lost at times even late in the season, he'll come around, he's not ready to be thrown in yet

I dont think he'll be required to think too much at his age... just give him the ball and watch him run will be his instructions. Same went for Wanganeen and Long in their youth. I can see Courtney following their footsteps almost identically career wise.

Sure he can run with it, as evidence form his big run against Richmond in round 21 he can turn it over after a good run as well, he'll learn to use it well and use his pace. If he gets 10-12 games next year I'll be happy.

He has a big future, but I would like to see him use his pace to chase and tackle more often. He reminds me of a young Shaun Burgoyne.

I think he will play only a handful of games and spend a lot of that time on the bench. However if he could repeat the awesome goal a couple of times in the seniors that would be enough for me this season.:D

He has great pace hopefully he shows what he has to offer next season. Really love the indigous players and there skill and pace Hopefully he turn out to be the next longy!!!!

He has speed which we certainly need but I thought he butchered the ball a lot last season. Does anyone have any stats on his % of effective disposal by foot or should I wait for next years prospectus?
Hopefully he is focusing on getting physically stronger.

Yeah. i thought he butchered it a lot also. Seems to run too quick and not have the composure to kick it well. Hopefully he gets better in this area.

Was up in Townsville on the weekend just gone for the AFLPA Indigenous Camp and was apparently one of VERY few players who didn't head out to hit the Piss.. And apparently gave a talk to up and coming players about the right attitude and mind set it takes to make a carreer out of the game. Really switched on with skills to Burn.. Big future and i am tipping 9-15 games next season

really hope this guy comes along a bit this year also... hopefully winderlich can step up and the 2 can inject some pace.
