ok i know we are a family club and theres been a lot of talk about judd. But would anybody be interested in looking at cousins if he was up for trade? Could you imagine Crawf and Cousins running around together in the brown and gold!

Dont flame me lol.. :o

How good would our mids be
-Hodge
-Mitchell
-Crawf
-Cousins
-Lewis

I actually think it's a reasonable question.

For his talent and his age (28), he'd be a bargain for any club.

Given his 'history', I dont think West Coast would ask for too much for him either.

The big question though is can he change off-field.

defiently would hes a brown low medalist and hes having a rough patch in his
life.put aside his problem for a minute and have a think about what he could do on the field for us.if he wanted to come to us i would greet him with open arms
go BENNY

No chance. Why would Clarko even risk the awesome unity in this team?

Cousins best and fairest at Hawthorn would still = negative overall result, due to the influence on the kids and culture.

Cousins is a nice guy who has major problems. I saw him in a certain club once and up close........... I like him a lot and feel sorry for him, but wouldn't want him anywhere near our football club.

His drug problems are a lot worse than most people think.

This was raised when Benny first got into trouble. If I recall correctly Clarko said 'not interested'.

Not worth the risk of player disruption.

Great footballer is Benny but he is carrying too much anti-social baggage for the family club.

It will not happen!

WOW, tough decision if it ever had to be made. He would add enormous value as a player, that cannot be questioned. At his age and with his ability, the club would be guaranteed some exceptional football for at least 4 years I would think.

BUT, the other stuff. Huge question mark. I suppose his addiction on its own doesn't mean he is a bad bloke, but he's had a few unsavoury incidents that tarnish him further (the police run and gangster connection). People can rehabiliitate and improve their behaviour (especially if they go to Sydney) so I don't think we should dismiss it out of hand.

At the end of the day we have put our faith in Clarko and his cohorts and I think I would be happy to do this again. They have got most decisions right in rebuilding our list so far. Therefore, I'm happy to say if they want Cousins or if they don't, I'm sure they have made all relevant considerations and got the right decision.

Ithink we would be much better off targeting a backman IMO. We are pretty set in the midfield. Would love to see us trade for a KPP backman at this stage and it would almost complete the list. For the price tag Cousins would have I would not be interested.

It would not improve us in any way shape or form.
Would do so much damage within the team.
No one is ever any good after a year out anyway.

Otherwise though I reckon he will be going somewhere as Judd wont have him back. If Judd goes he will stay.
