I've noticed that as well, I used to post a bit on the freo board because i'm not one of those west coast supporters who hate freo, but then that whiteoak dude popped up and started abusing everyone who doesn't support freo on their board. Maybe we should forget about poaching lyon and focus on poaching him?

Would have to be Lycett that gets an opportunity if we were to do that. Sinclair's back on the rookie list since Nicoski's off the LTI list now. Plus I think Sinclair's currently injured.

Has had a bad year from a rucking perspective, but that can't be said after last night. Over 40 hit outs against the guy most wanted as AA ruckman last year, he dominated Maric. Strange time to make this thread after last night I think.

Maric is not playing anywhere near like he was last year either.
On our board, we think Maric had been playing injured as well. And our footy department as well are saying that hes in good condition.

Maric's season last year was one out of the box. Can't see him playing at that level again.

OT. Sad to see Cox reaching the twighlight of his career. As my least hated Eagle, his personal bar has been set so high over the years, that just the smallest of percentage drop-offs become very noticeable.

I'm not convinced of his fitness either, like some here.

Cox down on form is a still a lot better than some teams best ruckman so i am not fussed.

Was good to see him yesterday with some vintage tap work and it bought us back into the game.

I think you will find players like Glass, Cox and Kerr will take a while during the season to hit top form and when they do they will be at their best. So far Glass is getting back to is after a slow start and Kerr is starting to show the same.

Can't really complain about Cox's last two games.
Actually been pretty effective with his HOs as well.
There were some worrying signs previous to his last two though, and they still linger.

He has been below his best for much of the year. But it did feel like his intensity lifted in the 4th quarter against the saints and he took it upon himself to lead and show the team what was required

He's got enough credit in the bank to allow him some ordinary games.

Veterans Kerr, Nicoski and Selwood have missed plenty of footy the last five seasons, Glassy got an extra week off and Coxy hasn't had either of these so chill

Cox hasn't had a bad year at all, it's just a little down on last years. With NN back, it will help ease the rucking load. He's still got a year after this one left in him IMO.

Cox doesn't ruck he plays for free in almost every contest he's in. He's been getting worse each year. Its incredibly frustrating.

With the exception of the Brown/Embley sub, Nic had the 2nd least time on the ground for us.

He's coming from a long way back. He's going to take time to build.

You can not expect to much from a player, particularly an onballer, with no pre season. This adds a toll on cox as well.
