Can't think of anywhere I'd rather be less in Perth right now. Such a shit stadium when it's hot... which isn't really a great characteristic for a cricket ground.

No doubt with the new place there's no more money with the new place but I wish the WACA could be turned into a decent boutique stadium.

edit - although was drinking beer at a ridiculously humid D/N game around 02 I think I got sick from dehydration. Doing the right thing I thought also took along 2 litres of frozen cordial to have late in the day but some arsehat stole it from under my seat

I've stayed away from the cricket board so far this year. I'll probably get sucked back in at some stage during the summer, but cricket is a sport I generally just enjoy for its beauty and grace without caring about results, and reading all the parochial bullshit, whinging, whining, and negativity on the bigfooty boards puts a bit of a damper on that.

They aren't the only ones guilty of a bit of the state partisan thing, but the the Vics are by far the worst because being a footy site first they probably make up 50% of the posters on there and lot of them hold a massive chip on their shoulder about the Bushrangers only having one player in the team. (and usually bugger all players in the Test team for years.) Today guarantee it will be just all Mitch Marsh bashing and desperately hoping he fails.
