Gerard returns serve.

What a blight Gerard Whateley has become on the Australian sporting landscape.....pompous, smug and holier than thou. His latest outburst on Clarke reminded me of a Sydney shock jock in full cry. The eponymous title for his radio program speaks to his enormous sense of self importance. Who was the last journalist to do that? Derryn Hinch? Blaming Clarke for the ball tampering incident and the current culture of the Australian men's team is just a cheap shot in my opinion. Clarke had been retired 3 years and no cheating occurred on his watch. The aggressive and confontational approach that he advocates predates Clarke by at least 10 years. .... but you won't see Whateley going after Steve Waugh or Alan Border.

Even Hinch at least went after some appropriate targets in his day.

Whateley has completed his transformation into full blown w***er in the last few months. Corey McKernan shouldn't have stopped at asking whether Gerard was off to fix up FIFA VAR next. Gerard is on course to speak at the UN and NATO based on his own perception of his opinions.

Take it back to the early 70’s under Ian Chappell.

Good line by Geeves on Warner:
Yes, he has his strengths – he’s a heck of a ball whacker - but as far as weaknesses go, he has proven himself incapable of behaving in a manner – on and off the field – that is befitting of any leader not associated to the mafia.

Yeh let's pile on Warner. About time a passionate but flawed individual copped some public heat.

His behaviour isn’t passion though.

All out from the first ball of the day by Hazelwood.
Caught down the leg side.
250 seems a gettable target.
It did, didn't it? Our batsmen don't deserve our bowlers.
