No, they showed a split screen and his 1st contact was just inside the line.

Not sure what the commentators were on about:

21.5 Fair delivery – the feet

For a delivery to be fair in respect of the feet, in the delivery stride

21.5.1 the bowler’s back foot must land within and not touching the return crease appertaining to his/her stated mode of delivery.

It’s where the foot lands, not first point of contact?

Exactly. That was a no-ball.

Woakes not bowling much - is he injured as well?

Devereux's last ten Ashes knocks:

143
141*
40
6
239
76
102*
83
144
98*

It's unreal watching someone who literally doesn't look like getting out from the first ball he faces.

What sort of name is Devereux?

Not that I can talk, I've got family members with middle names of Mansley, Shaw and Francis Claude.😱

The 3rd umpire has seen the standard of the umpiring in this Test and thought he'd better take the heat off them.

The Smith/Head/Wade show yesterday was perfectly balanced. Smith picking off singles and two’s and only attacking the poorest of balls. While the other two really went on the attack. Perfect balance between patience and attack with those two partnerships.

Stoked to see Wade transfer that first class form to an ashes century!
