What a day of cricket to be at. Adelaide Oval just keeps on giving such drama. Time the Boxing Day rest was moved.

When I was growing up (in the 80s) the Adelaide oval was batting friendly and produced lots of draws. However in the last 30 test matches there have been only 3 draws.

Not sure about changing the Box day test though.

Boxing Day Test stays forever imo.

Sure I'd love Test Cricket at Hobart again but it isn't happening and fair enough

The collapse by India is mind boggling. I wonder if anything was happening in betting markets at the time?

Indian cricketers are all incredibly wealthy. It would be astonishing stupid if they decided to get involved in cricket-related corruption.

For example Kholi has a net worth of over $AUD 150M. That is declared assets - wealthy Indians often have a lot of undeclared wealth. What purpose would he have of getting involved in cricket corruption?

It's amazing how the $$$$$$$$$$$s have come into the game for the Indians.

A former workmate (an Aussie) was involved in an Indian religious movement under the leadership of a particular Swami or Guru. When the Indian team came out in the early 1980's one of the team was a member of that sect so my workmate was invited to some functions. Turns out that the player had only one pair of worn out boots, so my mate took him to Myer and paid out of his own pocket for a new pair of boots. This was a test player who had never owned a pair of new boots prior to that day.

Fair enough. But most of the illegal gambling seems to come from there.

Simply horrible commentary on Big Bash cricket tonight. Brad Hodge..............

Muted and watch on silent with music instead

That'd be a brave move by an Indian player.

You're not alone. We're playing with 10. But being a right hander he'll probably keep his spot somehow when Warner returns.

His basic technique is all over the shop. He does not seem to know where his off stump is located.

There would be dozens of technically better equipped batsmen playing in district cricket throughout the country.

Will make compact 58 off 100 balls in the 2nd innings and play in 3rd test my guess.

Only if Australia get a first innings lead of 250 and bat again for an easy declaration. And even then I'd doubt it. Can't see him making any pressure runs with his technique or form.
