There’s gotta be a GIF for that.

By the way, do you use the correct pronunciation, “JIff”?

To keep Marstermind happy, I am not seeing what the excitement is with Green. Hopefully I am wrong but he hasn’t had any influence that I can see.

Early days - 2 innings batting and bowling - but he looks sharp in the field for a big fella, has been tidy with the ball and solid with the bat.

Problem is there's nothing on the scoreboard yet. He's dropped as many catches as he's taken (and he nearly dropped that), hasn't really threatened to get anyone out yet, and like most Australian batsmen this series seems more happy to just drop anchor and survive rather than try to score.

But I think he'll be OK.

Channel 7 has to generate supporter interest (& advertising revenue) somehow.

They were carrying on about him as if he's the next Messiah. His bowling action looks smooth and he gets a bit of pace, but he's been all over the shop. His batting prowess hasn't been visible in the test arena yet as he hasn't lasted long enough for anybody to take notice.

But JB and the inane Channel 7 commentators seem to see something.

I think you found your answer. Green isn't the problem.

Nate, S.O.S and Kraks l'm taking one for the team today and attending Korean b.b.q. & picnic. Won't watch a ball today.
Therefore when l watch the sports reports tonight Aus. would have wrapped the Indians early and plundered 327 by the end of day 3 with an unbeaten opening stand of 213

Cheers 🇦🇺👍
You're expecting Wade to make the double ton then.

Short of skittling them for 36 again, or a deluge, this one's slippin away.

Probs doesn’t help that we have gone from crayfish one week to sardines the next

Crayfish is over rated, they make fish sticks out of offal from memory and they taste better. Now a banana prawn marinated in garlic and chili, but not too much so as the flavor is lost is a different kettle of seafood, as they say.
Then people smother crayfish is that gawd awful sweet sickly sauce, seriously if it needs that sweet shit sickly sauce it's not worth eating.

Now a bbq'd fresh sardine cooked on the beach at Canakkale is another matter.

Showing my age guys but I find it hard to get excited about watching cricket these days. From the shrinking playing arena to the oversized bats to the 50 different variations of the game....its not the same. Yep understand that the game needs to evolve.......but watching gumbies send the ball 20 rows back with a leg glance.........

I agree with you. The sport has become oversaturated.

Like all things that generate significant interest, the parasites eventually move in, set up shop, and ruin them.

They were the days.......Clive Hubert / Cuthbert Gordon / Whispering Death / Big Bird...the greatest of all Isaac Vivian...DK / Thomo....Javed / Imran / Zaheer....etc etc ......star studded .....spent plenty of my RDCA playing days imitating some of these legends...

Like those posters were gold.
The WSC was something that everyone loved
whilst in reminiscing mode remember a world eleven game at Gloucester Park when Barry Richards made 207, Viv made 177 and Greenidge 140.......batting at its best.........Barry Richards was as good as any.....pity we didnt see more of him
