Well done to all the victory and adelaide supporters who got down to the match and supported your team! It was a great atmosphere and will be a night that I wont be forgetting for a long time..

Just on the fact that the crowd bigger then any AFL match, it was a grand final but still... 2 years into the competion.... pretty good :thumbsu:

The difference is Joe Public could go this year to the A-league GF at $45cheap seats, 2 per member and 4 per Football family. While the AFL caters for the corporates more than it does for the true fans. The A-league might change to that too.

If they think thats where the money is, good luck to them. Crap on these normal people for long enough and no one will go.

Hopefully the A-League stays for the fans, and not becomes some corporate event, of which the AFL GF has become.

MIght have to move the GF from TD if MVFC make the GF again next year. :thumbsu:

I understand you are talking domestic leagues but Greece played Australia recently in a friendly at the G and it drew more than 80K.

I suppose when the Australia play Ireland in the BS composite rules, they will surely draw that much. Wait a minute, does that exist anymore?

To be fair AFL games that look like or are suspected to draw more than the capacity of the dome are played at the G

That said, could MVFC have filled the G for the granny on sunday night?- you could argue they could have.

I've heard around the traps that ticketmaster had so much interest over the phones and the internet that they had enough people wanting to go to fill the M.C.G and then some. Amazing if you think about it.

they would have had 85,000+ at the G. Would have been great.

Socceroos vs Greece game pulled 95,000.

Socceroos vs Argentina will get 80,000+ I rekcon.
