Having a quick glance, it looks OK. We play Freo, St Kilda Sydney, West Coast, Kangaroos, Collingwood, & of course the Power twice. I know teams form fluctuate, but I can only see the Power & Collingwood being really, really tough opponents. Also, good to get a game at the MCG. :)

2003 Draw

6 Friday, 2nd May (Night) Kangaroos Telstra Dome Away

Write that down.

Bloodbath.

The thing I like about this is our first 4 games. I think we saw the benefits of a good start to a season this year and that draw gives us a very good chance to have a similar start next year.

I am coming to Melbourne for one game at docklands next year

Can't decide between that game and the clash with Collingwood.

Maybe a bloodbath would be more fun.

See you there:D

Go to this one.

It will be the most bizzare footballing experience for every North fan there. I reckon there will be more fights in the crowd than on the field.

Starting to worry about who to play on him now :( .

I am scared he will kick 16.

Sounds great.

Would have to be Archer.

McArtney used to do a reasonbale job on him when he played for the Crows.

Reasonable in the relative sense, ie wayne only got 20 possessions and kicked 4 goals rather than 30 and ten.

Ditto Jars, These two games look the pick of the crop.

But on the Draw? It looks too good to be true. There is no reason why we cant win the first 6 and then comes the PAYBACK game against the woods; at home Cloke will want to be wearing earmuffs that night.

Well, I will be stuffed. The twelve year in the competition and would you believe it the twelve time we travel to Optus Oval (can't stand that place) to play Carlton. When oh when will the AFL decide that if we only play Carlton once a year, that we may play them at AAMi stadium for a change. Still the rest looks good based on this years results however the smokeys I reckon are Fremantle...

I agree that's a fraggin' joke!

I was hoping for a match at York Park. However I would be just as keen to go to the Hawthorn and Kanga's games in Melbourne.

cheers

There is one other aspect of this draw that is not that great for the Crows - only 1 game at the MCG.

However, all things considered, I am very surprised at the draw in 2003 for the Crows. It is actually pretty decent, all things considered.

Kudos to the AFL for a change.

2 Friday night games in Melbourne so from a selfish point of view happy! Also how nice to get 'one' game at the MCG this year(in the home and away season!)

Won't 2003 be our thirteenth year in the competition?

bicks 250 is a week later i think  ;)

Despite playing twice in Perth and games in Brisbane and Sydney, the club hierarchy are happy with the draw.

A bit different from another club who had a similar draw a couple of years ago and whinged that it was the worst draw ever.

Different clubs, different attitudes !
