I simply see this as a further example of dumb ******s who think violence is an appropriate response to heckling.

As opposed to dumb ******s who think the airport is an appropriate place to heckle. He got what he deserved.

And allegedly this is not the first time Dean Brogan has committed a misdemeanour in this manor.

Come now, I think calling Adelaide Airport a 'manor' is a bit much. I mean, it's new and stuff, but 'manor' is going a bit overboard!

You're not very smart are you? What, childhood spent sniffing glue in Elizabeth and :D:D:D:Ding up old grannies in the Munno Para Shopping Centre carpark to make yourself feel good or something?

Obviously I meant ‘Manner’ and it was just a typo

He is big enough and ugly enough to mouth off and be a "hero" then he is big enough to take whats coming his way.

Sure Brogan over-reacted and sure he shouldn't have punched him but this "Dale" "character" deserved all he got. What kind of low life mouths off at at someone, provokes an incident and then runs off trying to sell his story?

What gives him the right to do what he did? He is a w@nker and he should be humuliated and if he is a crows member of any kind, his membership should be cancelled and he should be banned from football for a period of time.

Look, I am all for friendly banter as much as the next bloke but there is a line that shouldn't be crossed. This fwit crossed the line and while I don't agree with what Brogan did, the little "kid" deserved what he got. He needs to pull his head in.

I feel the same way and I agree, even if the majority don’t.

I agree. Sucked in to the idiot. A very good lesson to those among us that think it is their right to mouth of at people just because they are a public figure. If you dont want to get punched in the face then keep your bloody mouth shut. If I verbally abused someone like that d1ckhead did then I would expect a punch in the mouth also. If you think you are tough enough to mouth off to someone, then be tough enough to look after yourself when there are consequences. Why the hell do theses idiots think they can treat people like this and there be no consequences.

And you are obviously a soft weak c@#t who thinks he can say what he likes but goes home crying to mummy when the big boys give you smack in the gob for your trouble.

My guess is you are just like that West Coast supporter who shat his pants when Didak shaped up to him. A human yap dog.

I don't think anyone thinks "Dale" has done the right thing. Quite clearly he provoked Brogan.

This debate seems to be revolving mainly around whether Brogan's response to that provocation was appropriate and/or justified.

FWIW, I can understand why Brogan "snapped" - but I still think it's inappropriate.

There are (at least) two separate questions that can be asked:

1. Is Dale a moron? My answer: yes

2. Did Brogan do the wrong thing? My answer: yes

God, that glue really messed with your brain cells didn't it?

It must be hard to see the screen with all the spittle flying past your tooth. I can just see you now banging the table with your fist and grunting like a constipated orangutan. Better be quiet, it's a public library and others are looking!

The bigger idiot is someone who thinks violence is an appropriate consequence to mouthing off. Talk about :D:D:D:Ding stupid.

You have used the glue & the spittle bit twice now. Run out of lines have we?

I am happy to repeat mine. You are a soft weak c@#$t.

Couldn't agree more with ya Stiff, while I don't really condone Brogan's actions the little twerp got what he deserved. Hope it hurt plenty. he might think twice next time before opening that trap of his. Any civilised person would not be mouthing off random abuse to players in a place such as an airport, sure if it is on the field the player is going to cop it, they cop it from 1000 people around the ground on gameday. But the footballers have lives outside the game and should be treated as anyone else would be treated. No need for comments like that whatesoever.

I am deeply ashamed this bloke is a crows supporter, makes me feel sick almost.

You're happy to repeat them because you are too intellectually bereft to come up with anything more striking. I merely added depth to mine because it seems to accurately describe your runt-like sub-suburban bleatings.

Why don't you go punch a wall, maybe it will make you feel like a man. That wall will really know how 'hard' you are then, won't it?

Its not hard to see why you have this attitude. Me thinks that just maybe also has a big mouth and is very brave when he/she assumes that there are no consequences for their actions. In fact it wouldnt surprise me if jm was the type of person who hangs out at airports so they can heckle people. I'm tipping that if you carry on in public the way you do in this forum then you are not far off a smack in the mouth also.
You twits just don't get it do you. If you think you have the right to abuse people then sooner or later you will meet someone who believes they have the right to smack you in the mouth for it. If you are as p1ss weak as Dale then I'd suggest you stop taking the brave pills and shut your mouth before you meet someone like Dean Brogan who will not put up with your sh1t.

This was not during Brogan's private life - he was at work, in transit with the team and support staff.

So you have to reassess your comments.

Also should reassess them on the basis that no celebrity is treated as a member of the general public, and that's part and parcel of becoming a celebrity.

Brogan should be treated like any other employee of a corporation and fired for his conduct.

Well 'methinks' wrong, not surprising given that you seem to be an ignorant nimrod. I'm simply against random violence, having had a couple of mates beaten up while out on the town by drunks thugs who wanted to prove how big they were.

I don't mouth off in public, because I am aware that there are mentally unbalanced people such as Brogan and yourself who can't think fast enough to respond to even the most dullard of verbal abuse and think punching the abuser in the face is an appropriate response.

However, my point was not about Dale's stupidity. That is accepted. Mine was about Brogan's.

Twit? I'm not the one who's so slow-witted and sluggish that he needs to respond to the weakest of verbal abuse by following someone and punching them in the face.

I'd say get a grip on yourself, but I think you already have one.

I don't know what information you have on Brogan doing this sort of thing before ?? All I saw on the news services was he had a track record for this sort of thing because he had been reported 2 or 3 times..... which to me is a long bow to draw.

He was very stupid this time and obviously got sucked in ...... dont know why he would get sucked in, just stick the hadphones on and walk on through. So now he has to cop his whack.

You're the one with manhood problems buddy. You're the one who thinks he has the right to say what he wants, to who he wants, whenever he wants. You're only problem is that you would wet you pants if the target of your second rate thesaurus inspired drivel looked at you twice.

Quite simply you talk the talk, but require police protection to walk the walk.

As previously stated, you are a soft weak c#$%t.

Just on the thread title, I thought a "king hit" was hitting someone when they are not expecting it and generally from behind. Brogan's action wasn't a king hit I don't think.

Totally concur. Can anyone actually say they DISAGREE with this??

No not all.

It's interesting to note though, some, Crows98 aside, that are willing to paint Dale as the next anti-christ have chosen to ignore the alleged incident involving the guy with the dog.

Thesaurus inspired drivel? Wow, you must be dumber than Forrest Gump if you think I need a thesaurus for anything I've written...it's all plain English!

Manhood problems? No, that would be you, with your need to get violent to assert yourself and cokehead gurgling about 'deserving it'. It's clear you need to feel you could be violent against people to self-justify (I expect you do nothing of the sort, because it sounds like you're really just a coward).

Quite simply you talk the talk, but require police protection to walk the walk.

Wow, you're a big man, sounding all threatening from behind a monitor. Internet blowhard would be a good description of you, tough guy.

In light of the weekend’s events, we need to be clear in communicating a message to all Members and Supporters.

Taunting of an opposition player – of any opposition Club – is not on. Not even in jest, not jokingly. It just serves no purpose.

One of the Club’s values is to be dignified in defeat and in victory. That extends to the way we conduct ourselves – and we’d like to think it’s a quality that also extends to the wider community of the Club – including Members and Supporters.

The person involved in the weekend’s incident was not a member but we’d like to think that this principle applies to all supporters of the club.

It’s our experience that the vast majority are (indeed) dignified in so far as not taunting an opposition player. But to the minority who may be inclined to do so, we ask you to first stop and think about the implications and the possible consequences.

It should also be clearly understood that a recent report suggesting our Club wished to engineer a feeling of hatred against an opposition Club – is completely false/untrue. It has never been said or considered – publicly or privately – and is simply not part of the Club’s thinking.

Our Club – and everyone associated, including Members and Supporters – should relish the fierce rivalry that exists in the AFL. While we aim to aggressively defeat all others in the AFL in all aspects of what we do, we must always understand that this is a game. A high stakes game – but a game nonetheless. And it follows that such things as ‘hate’ campaigns against certain other Clubs is a ridiculous notion.

So to all of our incredibly loyal and passionate supporters, please continue to barrack, support and love this great game with us – as passionately as you always have. But please, let’s do it as a Crows Community – with real dignity.
