Crows guru's - just ask yourselves!!

I write after reading the posts from you all with respect to Gary Ayres.

The man is the coach and while he may not always make correct decisions, the blame rests with the players. They are the ones out on the field who play poorly, dispose of the ball poorly and show lack of courage and conviction.

Gary Ayres is the coach and whilst he may not remain so for much longer ... I have my sources who have told me he is definately no more once the dismal season ends ... he has carried out his duties with honour and integrity.

Some of you regular posters sit on your soap box and criticise criticise and criticise some more.

I have been reading the Big Footy Adelaide Board for some time, and whilst it is not nice to attack directly, I can not help but comment that Macca_23 seems to lack a bit of common footy knowledge. I can't help but wonder whether your posts would go better on a netball board. I am being particularly harsh here, but I am following the trend you have set. You are a very harsh critique.

They are his players. He assembled the playing list. He recruited those players. He instructs the playing style. If they aren't good enough then he (and his sidekicks) must take responsibilty for that.

Agreed. The way he has handled himself has been admirable. Personal attacks on Gary are unnecessary. His time is just about up and I believe that the club needs to head in a new direction. However, Ayres has done good things with the AFC and this shouldn't be overlooked.

Macca_23 has been objective of Ayres (you just didnt read back enough).

I will say that Macca's comments have always been balanced.

I would in no way describe his comments as overly harsh or negative.
In fact often he is too supportive

His comments on Ayres come from a logical perspective. We may not agree entirely with them, but they represent a valid argument.

To those of you who have already responded, and anyone else reading my original message:

I meant what I said about Gary Ayres with regards to his honour and integrity, but I agree of course he is largely responsible for the poor performance of the Crows.

As to my attack on Macca_23, well I know them (the real person) and I could not resist the temptation to have a go.

I applaud anyone who has responded defending Macca_23! They are very knowledgeable and I find their posts enjoyable.

And to you Macca_23 : may you never know who I really am. I do apologise if I upset you in any way. I was having a lend of you. I am sure you can laugh it off. Keep up the good posts! Again sorry...

I haven't a clue at this stage who you are, as I've checked with the usual suspects, and it's not them.

My mother should have warned me not to keep company with Port Power people!!!
