I rang crows mania last week i asked if they would be had any more red clash jumpers left for sale they said it had sold out and wont be makin any more of them. They will bring back the 1996 pre season jumper with crow on the front.
Whats peoples thoughts??

Hmm doesn't really do it for me...I'd like to see some tradition with the horizontal stripes. Be interesting to see just exactly what it will look like as all three colours are pretty evenly spread, not much of a clash jumper I would think.

Don't mind the look of the jumper at all, but your point about the even spread of the 3 colours is a key one, which makes one wonder just how effective it would be as a clash jumper.

For starters may I let out a collective sigh of relief for a lot of supporters over the timely axing of the red terror. Now just to clarify they said they will be selling this gurnsey or is this your mock up. I dont mind it but I was leaning toward a variant the yellow state gurnsey we wore in heritage round a few years ago.

I dont mind it, I prefer the home and away jumpers and would support home more blue, away red and clash yellow or something.

I guess this thread http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=336400&highlight=guernsey was correct and it will be like that which has the red and yellow on the back and the adidas curved lines thing down the front. Hopefully we get some sort of winning record in it.

Yeah don't like it... too much cr@p all over it.... I quite liked this years red away strip, something simple and classic.

All the strips with all the cr@p on it look stupid in my opinion, ie the eagles of old.

yeah but the stripes across the top look wanky and amateurish

all you need is a variation on the 05 heritage jumper tbh, and you're set.

How about a plain red jumper (no stripes) and a small crow in the middle of the jumper? kindo like a red version of carltons but the crow replacing the CFC sign in the middle of the jumper and the crow would be smaller than the current carlton sign??

Thoughts?

On a different note has anyone been watching the Rugby world cup and specifically the new high tech jumpers all the teams are wearing?? Apparently the jumpers are made of some material that reacts with sweat to create a negative ion charge to stimulate blood flow, bringing more energy to muscles and speeding up the removal of lactic acid. Wow, can the crows jumper incorporate this next year please :-)

Not that it made a difference to the Wallabies last night :-(

The back will be different. The one pictured above is the old pre-season one. This is the new one I believe.

I don't see them selling too many of these to the public, especially the long sleeve version. The predominantly red back with the yellow wings looks ordinary.

I prefer the back of the yellow heritage jumper.

I'd be very surprised if the Ionised Energy Fabric that Canterbury use in the jumpers were not patented, in which case Adidas would need a license. So they'd more likely have some alternative.

I love the hoops, after seeing some of the clash designs posted on BF this one appears really quite average. Seriously, are they expecting any type of revenue stream from this?

Not a fan. The even distribution of colour makes a huge difference. Otherwise it can looks too busy and your team looks different depending which angle you are seeing them from.

When will clubs (all clubs, not just Adelaide) start listening to the people about these away/clash jumpers. If they keep putting out ordinary jumpers they will keep having to change them every couple of years to keep people interested.

Pick jumpers that:

1) Look good
2) Won't date
3) Don't clash
4) Are simple (would address 1,2 and 3)

I know clubs don't take much notice of these types of forums, but in all seriousness we are the voice of the supporters.

I think the reason they are looking at changing form the current red jumper is it does not work against the Lions as it makes more of a clash then is already there. I think this is the main reason they are trying to go with yellow.

I agree with Crow Chick all clubs should follow those rules when designing a clash jumper and I don't think they can go wrong.

Terrible jumper!

When it comes to designing jumpers, I think clubs should stick to the KISS principle. There is nothing that shits me off more than a "busy" jumper. This new thing looked like something a 3 year old would come up with crayons.

I am sure Andrew McIntyre and John Meesen would have displayed more creativity than this!
