Where were the Crows Supporters at Football Park on Sunday? I know it was a Crows home game and most of the 40,000 crowd were wearing the red, gold and blue but as supporters you were absolutely pathetic.

I have been to all 9 Showdowns but this was the worst performance by a crowd of Crows supporters. At no stage did I cop any abuse, what has gone wrong at Adelaide for all of you to go back into that little shell?

Why are you all so quiet?

Did you all go to Footy Park knowing what was to come? If this is the case Im surprised you all bothered getting dressed up for the occassion.

Who was that goose you had before the game trying to get all you supporters to cheer and clap for the Crows? He and the clap-o-meter were two other pathetic things.

Answers are not only needed by that team you put on the park on Sunday but also by you supporters who gave nothing, have you forgotten what supporter stands for? It means you support your team!

The only time we got anything of a yelp out of you supporters were when you kicked goals and that was not too often.

Hope you all enjoyed your time back at the Shed!

bit harsh Scott!!!

I can honestly say that the Crows fans around me (members) were quiet all day. Only time any of them seem to clap or cheer is when you score a goal, or if your in front. You wont hear a peep out of em otherwise. I even got told to be quiet by a crow fan!! ITS THE FOOTY FOR CHRIST SAKE!!! Your meant to be loud at the footy!!
A lot of crows fans dont show there colours either...at least the footy park member crow fans dont. You tend to see a lot of crow stuff in the members at power games, but i probably saw a handful of crow fans with scarfs or shirts in the members. Its like they dont wear there colours so they dont get bagged after the game if they lose.
Adelaide has always been quiet tho. Even the head of the cheersquad says so
I quote (Page 56 of the advertiser, Monday):
""They're a bit quiet sometimes" Love says of the crows faithful. "We have a lot of supporters who tend to wait until we are winning""

It was true yesterday that Port supporters probably made more noise than the crows fans did.
Yet them support how they want to support...if they want to be fickle then let them be.

Well Macca, you obviously weren't sitting near me. Second row from the top of the balcony. I got the Adelaide chant going even when the Power got goals (but I did slow down in the last quarter!!). I also kept shouting "Come on Crows", "Come on Adelaide" before the bounce. I do wonder about some members, though. I'm sure the people in front of me were robots, I don't think they clapped when either team got a goal! lol

I was sitting in the outer and the Crows crowd out there is also hopeless. They make no noise at all. I agree the only time they make noise is when a goal is kicked infact I was helping them make some noise when they had that noise metre on the scoreboard because that never seemed to reach any great heights. what a disgrace considering you probably out numbered the Port supporters about 7-1.

I didn't shut up for the whole game and I'm pretty sure all the Crows supporters around me probably don't like me very much. Actually in the last quarter one women did have a go at me. She used that good old line of how many premierships have you won?.After I stopped laughing I politely told her to read the scoreboard as the Power put another goal on the board. That we have 2 premiership thing is starting to become a pathetic especially the people who still wear their premiership t-shirts to the football those t-shirts are starting to look a bit worn and tattered just like your team.

I don't know about you guys but I don't always feel like screaming at the top of my lungs during a footy game. Sometimes I get to a game and feel like roaring real loud. Other times I don't. I know you're supposed to be raucous and support the team but on some occasions I just like to sit and watch my team play footy, observe what's going on and take in the atmosphere. I'm not saying all the Crows fans are like this but not all of us choose to scream and shout at the footy, though I'll admit we probably should. The team needs our support and we shouldn't just sit there on our hands.

Each to their own I say.

Adelaide have a couple of real true supporters, who barrack as hard as they can. But 80% of them (remember i was a crow fan...and ive been to a number of games since 97) tend to make no noise at all unless the crows get 5 goals up. If the crows get behind, they either shut up, or they get pretty abusive towards the players and coach. The Crows Brisbane game last year was a classic!!! At one stage the free kick count was around 15-2 in favour of Adelaide, Brisbane got a blatant free kick and a bloke in front of me said "oh rubbish, theyve been doing it all day giving em soft free kicks" didnt stop laughing for minutes after that!!

There is a bloke in the outer who gets the crowd going...he sits on the 50m line at the new scoreboard end in the outer wing. He always trys to get the crowd going but when they are behind most supporters tend to tell him to sit down and shut up.

It was great on sunday tho...crows fans werent saying much right from the start.

Yes well i think Port made easily as much if not more noise than adelaide did when goals were kicked. I had a go at Vardy and some idiotic crow fan told me i lived "in feral city" (with an exphasis on feral)...i told him to look at the scoreboard (we were 6 goals up during the 3rd quarter when this happened)...he said "At least weve won two premierships"...after me and my dad stopped laughing and crying from the irony i stood up and told him he was a loser and a hypocrit, and if i said come and look at our premierships that he would of had a go at me and told me to stop reliving past glories. Funny...he left at 3/4 time! The premiership era is long gone, and its very ironic how crows fans...after bagging us for years and years for relying on our premiership count, thats there only comeback or line of abuse. Bit ironic and hypocritical. Also noticed that the average age of crows fans is about 45 and most of them do look extremly well off. This might be just a "myth", but its pretty close to the truth. Also noticed how crows fans tend not to wear there teams colours, to sort of disassociate themselves from their team if they lose so they dont get bagged.
Anyway...its all part of the fun really

Yes... me and Anne, hahaha

I agree with most of what you've said about our supporters. There's no point in denying it, it's basically the truth.

Well Spogs (our new gun recruit) took 8/11 off 10 overs in A grade, and going to perth, we are looking for a bowler, not a batter. Sorry SPOGS!
