Well I know we have lost a couple of games & a few important players are out, but we should still expect the Crows to win this weekend - after all it is at football park where we have not lost to an interstate team - be positive guys & gals! Yes Collingwood are one of the better teams going around, but is not like we have been decimated by injury like Carlton. The team showed in the 2nd half of the Weagles game that they can play fantastic football if their mind is on the job - so if we play 4 quarters of good football this weekend we will beat the Pies as we are on our home turf.
Matchups
Well Collingwood are likely to play at least 3 tall forwards - Tarrant, Rocca & Fraser (don't worry about Cummings as he is crap at the moment). I reckon Bassett is the man for Tarrant. The hound has gone off the boil a bit lately & has been spending too much energy going ******* at the umpire (yes I know the likes of McLaren are ******* too, but you get nowhere mimicking the white maggots - they are going to screw us regardless). So it is time for him to recapture some of that early season form. Kenny has been doing a sound job at CHB, so I would give him Pebbles for most of the game. However, for the first 10 minutes I would start Benny Hart on him & run him all over the ground so he is buggered for the rest of the game. Marsh's only decent game last year was on Fraser, so I would give him another go. On the small forwards I would play Stiffy on Leon Davis to show to the Pies supporters a truely great new aboriginal talent. That leaves probably Crowell to join Hart on the other Collingwood forwards. Crowell needs to be told to pull his finger out or he will be never seen again in the tri-colours.
Up forward we need to stick with Perrie across HF as he can take a few grabs ... but for goodness sake Jars why aren't you working on his kicking! The Birdman after doing his best impression of superman last week needs to be told that he has to perform like that most weeks & not return back to being Clark Kent this week. I expect he will be matched up by the under-rated Clement who got off at the tribunal (& I'm not suggesting you were involved Eddie). I would go for Beinke in a pocket if he his fit (to come in for the injured Massie) or Schell if he is not. Then we need plenty of crumbers & forward pressure from Roo, Bode & Edwards - who would be also part of the midfield rotation.
In the midfield Licuria is likely to get McLeod, who needs to play a 4 quarter effort - if he plays to his potential he is capable of 50+ possessions. Stengelin should get the job on Buckley with Massie assisting of the bench. He always seems to burn against us, so Gary please no shootouts like with Cuz last week. That leaves the likes of Goodwin v O'Bree, Lockyer v Doughty, Scotland v Gallagher. The bonus though is Clarke should give us 1st use of the ball against the new-improved Steve McKee with Biglands also ganging up against him.
C'mon Crows - I'm expecting a win this week & nothing less.

, Welshy & Smart I think we can win this week. Great to see the Johnson is back we really missed his bite around the packs. He should really add a lot to our side.
