I'm feeling optimistic today. I think we'll benefit from the soggy conditions (slows them down, forces us to tackle, global reduction of disposal efficiency). Lots of games have gone our way this round, lets hope this one does too. At our best we can beat them. We just need to be at our best.
 
Hey guys, have a quick question.
Have a Crows supporting friend over for the game today, and given he hasn't made it to Adelaide for a Crows game yet, I was hoping to play the entrance song etc if you have one (i.e. Port play Never Tear Us Apart/Not giving in). Is there something that is played? On TV you see similar montages etc running in the background while the commentators waffle on for some of the other teams, so am assuming there is something the AFC do?

Thanks in advance.....I won't say Good Luck, cos it wouldn't be true, but lets go with no injuries and a game decided by the teams, not the umpires. Cheers

Lots at stake for both clubs. Port need to keep ahead of Hawthorn. One slip and they loose top spot!
Unbelievably the Crows have another opportunity to advance after the losses to the other 3 teams vying for 8th spot. Not sure we deserve all these chances but that's life.

But from a showdown point of view........
Port can end our season today. Nough said.
Crows victory would possibly hand the minor prem to Hawthorn. Ohhh yeah!!
Definitely higher stakes than just bragging rights today.

It has alternated nearly every week but given the Potbelleez dj's are on the hill it's a safe bet it will be their 'Hello' song today
 
Not to mention Sydney breathing down Ports neck as well.

They lose this today, they've highly likely lost a home QF…massive pressure on them. They could lose their premiership today!!!

For us, sure we are technically playing for finals but let's be honest, we're making up the numbers and we've already gone through the grieving period for this wasted season last week.
 
They've been pretty vague about it, something about only their Djs

Looks like it, the club FB page said it this morning and last night. I wonder though if it really is them or just the video montage they played against North, not sure how busy they would be or hiw many gigs they do?

Reckon it's time for Jenkins to announce himself as a superstar and kick 5 in a showdown. Port probably don't rate him and he will get under there guard. That goal last week of his where he took the ball out of the ruck and kicked it from 60 was one of the greatest I've ever seen. Natanui did something similar a few years ago and and missed and the world went nuts over it.

Checked Wikipedia and they have 2 DJs as original members and a couple of lead vocals over the years. My guess is they will have the 2 DJs but pre-recorded vocals. I don't think it would make a lot of difference.

Anyway a lot of people said if that Collingwood event game followed Ports first game it would of topped theirs. So hopefully its at that level or more again.

Interesting the clubs going for a free concert on one of the days there was supposed to be one from Koch's quietely canceled Live At The Drive thing.

As I posted earlier in the week, for me, today is all about Sando. I think we can all agree that if we turn up and play our game, they turn up and play theirs - they win comfortably.

To come away with a win today will require 2 things;

1. A gameplan tailored specifically for Port to take them out of their preferred momentum controlling style.

2. Total discipline by each and every player to implement the strategy.

My view hasn't changed through the week that if this game is to be won it must come from the coaches box.

If we play like we did against Collingwood/Norf we might have a chance. If Porps comes in I hope its only as sub OR his last game for the seniors.

Come on crows, plz win. plz.
 
If this is the case (an I sure as hell hope it isn't) he MUST be the sub. If anyone else is relegated to sub I'll have completely lost faith.
 
David Noble just said he would be very surprised if there were any late changes. Think ch 7 were just fishing for news.
