You guys should lose a few and get out of our way. :p

Only joking, fantastic to see our rival wooden spooners for 05 on the wrong end of the table with us. ;)

I think the North vs Adelaide game will be HUGE!

Actually, I'm thinking that it will be the battle for second spot, but that no-one (other than Roos and Crows fans) will even notice.

Does anyone know what will happen if we do finish second?

Will we be guaranteed a home final, or will it have to be played at the MCG?

I thought I read something earlier this year that said the AFL and the MCC had worked a deal to fix that problem - can anyone confirm?

Obviously we don't want the boys getting ahead of themselves, but we should be aiming for a top 2 finish. We do have a relatively easy run home, and it would be a disappointment if we didnt at least win 5 of our remaining matches.

We've still got Torney and Stiffy to come back in, and even if we do cop a couple of injuries, we have some talented youngsters on the fringe read to go.

We get a home final week 1 of the finals as there are 4 games & we get 2nd priority.

However, if the Weagles win all their finals, we will have to play a "home" prelim final at the MCG unless there has been some change to the arrangements.

Given the MCC has no banked credits they could conceivably bank a final if it comes down to Eagles and Crows having home finals.

Assuming the AFL has dragged its arse around like a monkey in resolving this issue.

What I heard was that they were going to try and resolve the whole interstate finals issue before September. I wouldn't hold my breath though after AFL resorted to blackmail and extortion to try and get it changed the last few years rather than give up some H&A games.
