Too early for this? Is there already a thread for it that I missed? I'm extremely footy starved and not much else is going on 'round these parts so thought, why not?

Anyways, state your 3 HAWTHORN RELATED predictions that will happen in the 2017 season.

Can be anything from debuts, goals kicked, ladder position, young guns cementing their spots etc... you get the drift.

I've got a fair few but I'll go with the riskier, albeit still realistic ones;

1. Gibson to finish top 4 in the B&F.

2. Kade Stewart and Kieran Lovell to play 12+ senior games between them.

3. Tyrone Vickery to kick 40+ goals.

I think I had the angry pills a few mins ago, so here are some positive predictions from me:

1. Tom Mitchell will be slow out of the gate but will have a monster season and be in the All-Australian squad.
2. Rough/Breust/Gunners/Burton/Vickery/Sicily/Rioli/Poppy will all kick 30+ goals for the season.
3. One of the Irish boys will make their HFC debut late in the season and look like they belong.

2. Rough/Breust/Gunners/Burton/Vickery/Sicily/Rioli/Poppy will all kick 30+ goals for the season.

If that happens, we finish 1st with 200+ percentage points and win the GF by 100+ points!!

You sure that crystal ball isn't faulty...?

1. Roughie's return to football will have us all in tears
2. The new Mitchell will fill the old Mitchell's shoes with courage, commitment, and class
3. Opposition supporters will be incredibly pissed off because their doom and gloom predictions for us turn out to be completely and utterly wrong.

1. Burton's season confirms the hype and the hope.
2. Cousins is upgraded at the end of the year.
3. Heatherley's season leaves nobody in doubt that he is Gibbo's replacement.

1. Roughie to kick the first goal of the season which will fire up the boys leading to a 50+ point round 1 win.
2. Kade stewart to kick a goal after the siren to win a game
3. Hodge will do his ACL which will force retirement (hope it doesnt)

This isn't the 2016 Blues crystal ball

1. Jimsim will be the least popular poster in bf if he keeps his predictions up.
2. JOM and TOM to both be constantly compared to Sammy Mitch and Jordy. Nevertheless, all four will have good seasons albeit none in Brownlow contention as they're all still learning the new structures/roles/gameplan.
3. With the exception of Chip down back and Vickeryup front, we'll rotate players through the midfield/forward/backline more than anyone has ever seen.

1. Conor Nash will become highly rated internally, but the general public will hear next to nothing about him.

2. McEvoy will tap it to a Hawthorn player for the first time since he accidentally did it once in 2014.

3. TOB will get dropped early in the season and play for BHH for a min. 10 games after breaking the coach's rules by taking a mark on a lead 40m out and kicking a goal.

1. Was tempted to say the same but figured it was a gimme ;)

2. Again, couldn't agree more. Keep in mind I have never seen the kid play, other than highlights, but it's just one of those strong gut feelings you get every once in a while. Something about his demeanor I think...

3. Keeping in mind I'm not able to watch Box Hill, I actually thought he was super, super impressive the few times I have seen him play, especially considering the unorthodox road he has traveled to get to where he is.

3. TOB will.

McEvoy was brilliant in the 2014 and 2015 Grand Finals.

I watched them both on the Foxtel Summer replays in the last week or so.
He's a great team player.

Gee, you're an angry little petal!

Do you think the club ever does anything right?

You will definitely have your haters with point 2 but im not one of them.

I agree 100%. No idea what the club sees with McEvoy.

People will shoot me down and say how he helped us win premiership/s which is absolutely true but he really is an average ruck.

I could go into more detail but really what's the point. Savage you and me are in the minority and most people will defend Mcevoy.

I don't think even McEvoy's biggest supporters will say that he's the greatest ruckman going around. But he competes and is a very fit player who runs out the game very well.
But look at this year's Grand Finalist, neither team had a ruckman of any note. But they were very competitive.

Our Grand Final ruckmen in the past have include Max Bailey, Robert Campbell and David Hale. Great competitors but there are no Hall of Famers there.

I was taking the piss, but it seems that the same poster posting under 2 aliases couldn't tell and neither could you.

At least now these precious petals who can't hack criticism of players of their club (not you) can calm down.
