And worth remembering that a good chunk of Pat’s wickets came while shouldering the captaincy load, he’s a far better fielder than any of those on the list and has played a number of match winning innings with the bat.

Don’t really know much about Marshall as a fielder but he was an excellent lower order batsman, hit 10 half centuries so if you’re splitting hairs he’s one player on that list who can be in the same ‘overall cricketer’ argument with him.

He’s a f**king amazing player though, no argument there
