Zaine (not Zaniness, as my iPad would have me believe) Cordy has signed on until the end of the 2018 season.

Not a big surprise but nice to have him locked away, he's been quite promising this preseason.
Bulldogs List Manager Jason McCartney said Cordy’s signature was an important one for the Club, and its list demographic.

“It’s terrific for Zaine to join a long list of players that have recently committed to the Club for the longer term,” he said.

“Zaine has adapted well to the AFL environment and has demonstrated some really encouraging signs as a young tall defender.”

“We look forward to seeing him continue to flourish under Luke’s tutelage and the football program broadly.”

Cordy said he couldn’t be happier to extend his time at Victoria University Whitten Oval.

“I’ve had some really good support from senior players and coaches, and I’d like to repay the faith, particularly for the effort they’ve put into developing me.”

“It’s an exciting time to be at the Club and I’m just really glad to be on board until 2018.”

I wonder whether we did this to front load his contract and use Crameri's salary cap space

Would be handy if could hang onto Dalrymple and JMcCartney too. I expect there'll be attempts to lure them elsewhere.

Agree. If it's good enough for us, it's good enough for them.
 
Cant see those guys leaving until theyve achieved the ultimate success and built a premiership winning list. Hell after that I couldnt care if they decide to go get a huge paycheck and start again somewhere else, they deserve it.
