Pretty likely you'll see three academy kids drafted next year so the Suns need to take that into account. I would have thought it was pretty obvious that Grant, Matera, McKenzie, Shaw and Schoenfeld are at risk of being delisted. The club just drafted a small forward, a third tall defender and a winger so those guys I've named above have essentially been put on notice as a result.

Off contract in 2017 and has probably shown the least of the 2015 draftees that remain at the club (Ah Chee, Fiorini, Joyce etc.) He may be impressive on the running track but let's not forget what happened to Joel Wilkinson. He'd want to string together more senior footy in 2017 but that may be a difficult task with all these talented midfielders coming in.
Hallahan and Currie are more at risk than Schoenfeld
yeah pretty harsh on Josh. To play any senior footy last season was an achievement given it was thought that he would take a couple of seasons to bulk up as he was a bit of a stick/project running machine when he was drafted. Should easily get a new contract ahead of the likes of Matera/Grant/Shaw/Hallahahn and would be harsh to cut him after just 2 years especially as we dont have many guys who can run all day as he can. Hopefully he can make that wing position his own in the next few years.

Schoey was always going to take a while to develop - but I remember at last year's draft Rocket said on SEN (or some other radio interview) that Schoey was taken earlier than people had predicted because they saw promise and wanted to train him up ready for when Rosa retires in a few years, so we'll have a ready made wingman. Not sure if it eventuated but I believe Rosa was to be his mentor.
So I'd give Josh at least another 2 full seasons before seeing him rip it up at AFL level.

AWWWW YEAAAHH!! SWALLOW!! Him and 2MP were the major ones I think we were worrying about the most to re-sign. Good to see we are getting a few players signed up nice and early. Now just 2MP PLEASE! Outside of Gaz this off-season has been nothing short of awesome!
I loved everything Rocket said as well. There seems to be an energy and attitude around the club that we have never seen before from the playing group and our additions have both been welcomed warmly and have added to the energy. Also interesting how he specifically said about 90% of the group have come back fit and firing, meaning he is not overly impressed 1 or 2 players so far perhaps?? I wonder who?
And did Rocket interupt them in the middle of a cricket game or something? Nice hats.
