Strategy Curtin's role in 2025?

With Tex back this season, we have a pretty tall forward line with him, Fog and Thilthorpe, so putting Curtin up there could well make it too one dimensional.

I think that he may well be put into the 2nds or used as sub over a few games.
The addition of ANB, along with Keays, and Rankine spending more time in the midfield possibly again this year, we are really short on speed and smalls.

I don't think throwing him all over the ground does him any good, and with the extra midfield depth this year I dont see that as an option for him either.

He may well have to wait for injuries to get a go.
Where was Tex last season?

I am not overly happy with Curtin not having a role that to me looks sustainable. He needs to play but I also don't want him shifted around too much.

He can play down back but we are fairly well covered there.

He can play wing /midfield but the mix may not be right as it currently stands. I think he could easily take Scholl's place who I expect to drop out of the regular side as the season progresses.

I don't agree often with David King but he's right that we have one of the slowest forward lines in the comp. That will be a real problem against the good teams that set up their forward movement from defence. If we are trying to match the best when it counts Tex probably drops out and Curtin plays but the club won't do that. Given the standard of opposition early that might take some time to play out.

There will be injuries and suspensions so a spot might open up.

Seems to be wing with a forward rotation, though the hope is that the wing play ends up strong enough that the forward role falls away. It's not an ideal opportunity for Dan, but got to take it.

I think it comes from everyone agreeing that the team wont function with 4 talls up forward and so he needs to find another spot on the ground

There are people saying we don't know where to play him. It seems they want to play him mostly up forward with some time up the ground.

Lots of players are expected to play multiple positions.

You're bloody slow: look at the first few posts. ;)
Have harly looked at the thread, really have little interest in it.

I'm struggling seeing him being named on field personally, sub maybe.

Of course the thread starter could edit it quite easily.

I just figured it all out what his role should be and it only took 3 bourbons to come up with it lol........................................
Just let him roam around at his lesire doing whatever he feels is right and I'm sure he'll have an impact and do some incredible s##t.
Seriously I think he's getting too many directives.....just let him do what is natural and he will shine.
Okay I'll shut up now.
