Bulleens results do suggest a massive improvement from last year... Only just losing to Kew, and perhaps unlucky to lose to South M. Beating AP definately puts them in the running for the top 5. Who are the awesome new players down Bulleen way?

We are playing with pretty much the same cattle as last year with only a few new players to bolster the ranks.

I'd say each player from last year has lifted a notch under our new coach, gameplans and dicipline.

47 points isn't exactly a cliffhanger.

I suspect the Bulleen players wouldn't mind the game replayed now. I think they'd back themselves to get closer than 47 points...

No excuses on the day; Kew were too good, but Bulleen have improved... Better understanding of coaches requirements (only played one practice match before Round 1 under a new coach) & much more confidence in their own ability, as a team & individually.

Anyway, we all know we're pi$$ing in the wind until we play West Brunswick this week. If West beat us by 20 goals this week, our past two results mean nothing, but if we win, or push them reasonably close, then it's probably fair to say the competition is on notice that Bulleen deserve their respect.

True that. I hope you win. Not that I have anything against WB, but it would be nice to see they're human (at least not D4 GODS)

Saying that In FF I'm sure that at least 9 of the 12 clubs would say that they are travelling better than in Round 1. Due to the grade we are playing in you will generally get a big turn over of players thus resulting in a very new senior team for Round 1. At the break we will have a great idea of who has improved, will succeed, can't win, etc.

Correct. You've either got a lot of injuries or a club going to poo if you're not better in Round 5 than Round 1. ;)

Just wondering how big Fish Whiting is kicking his goals thesedays. Have played a lot of footy with Fish. Is he fit and leading well or is he just sitting in the square and bodying opponents?

He was struggling for form through the first four rounds but lit it up this past weekend. Perhaps he was a little out of condition... but now he's leading well, taking strong marks. He kicked our first NINE goals on saturday, we thought he'd break our club record.

What's the club record? Will he get it this weekend vs BHN? (He'd a good chance from what I've seen)

hear a rumor that one Footy Hack is suffering severley from onebonebadlydamagedinrightthumb....mmm how did that happen?

One Footyhack reserves the right to defend himself against cheap behind the play thuggery:cool: Even if his abilities at throwing Haymakers leaves a little to be desired. Then again.....If a certain coach didn't have his own troubles with his thumbs (implanted firmly up his arse) he may have noticed a clear mismatch in body size and strength and moved Footyhack from fullback at an earlier time, thus eliminating any possible need for his player to want to knock some neanderthal boof head into next century:D

13... He was on 9 at half time last week. In saying that, the centrals have given up at least 17 to opposition forwards in the past:eek:. So hopefully he can break that record forus this year... Fish and Nuske are fighting it out in the forward line.

Should be a cracking match up between the 2 big men. After missing most of 07 through injury Bell is starting to get back to his 06 form where he was D3 ruckman of the year. Looking forward to the match, should be a cracker.

Its very quiet on here so I thought I'd start reviewing the other clubs grounds/rooms/canteen/bar/attitude...

We've only played one away game at SFX this year so here we go...

SFX....................

Ground - Short and fat and green, with tiny wee little goal posts. Massive wings. Its almost a true circle. 8/10

Rooms - Small, but with plenty of bench space. Good enough showers, but there is no room for trainers benches which need to go outside. 6/10

Canteen - A temporary outdoor setup with not much to offer at all...hotdogs, pies and coke (no other soft drinks??) and thats about it. 3/10

Bar - Terrific space for the home team, with a pretty sweet bar and plenty of seating. No memorabilia on the walls (but they are a new team so to be expected), but I fear the school wouldn't let them put any up anyway. It doesn't have a view of the ground which is a pity, but its clean and modern. 6/10.

Attitude - I missed the post game speach as we were told to clean up the rooms ASAP (weird)...but they gave away best on ground prizes and everyone had a good day. While there was some moments on the field, there was nothing serious and no injuries. Their committee does a good job. 7/10

One away game in five rounds!!!!! Gotta love that draw. I figure you must play two or three on the road soon?

I'd swap our draw for anyone elses! We had an extra home game due to NB's ground not being up to scratch. And we have two away games this week and next.

I expect a 10/10 for our canteen Waz. Popcorn chicken, hot chips, southern chicken rolls.........sensational!

about sums up the pros and cons of being aligned with a school Waz, we do a clean after your clean as the school is pretty pedantic about us leaving it in the state we found it,they help us out a heap though so fair enough.

Spot on about the goal posts though, that is a priority, I think it cost or gave both teams a goal when we played you blokes. The hospitality centre was only recently built by the school, so it's lucky they let us use it for functions etc. Down the track when we're a bit more established there are plans for rooms next to the ground.

Can't imagine how hard it would be to get a club up and running these days without that bit of extra help.

There are many D4 clubs that would LOVE to have a school affiliation. Unfortunately there isn't much in the way of (boys) private schools in Richmond. Plenty within eyesight across the river though!
