Alright I'm just going to discuss the first game because the Bendigo game isn't worth going over
Dandenong
2. Hunter Clark
Despite a quiet first quarter he came to life after that and his final quarter which was spent mostly forward was exceptional. He kicked 2 goals and could have easily finished with 4. Clark attacks the ball hard both in the air and at ground level, he was incredibly clean and would often hit the contest at pace and come out with it and shrugging of wild be tacklers. He works incredibly hard to support teammates and I overheard him in the last quarter urging his teammates to commit to marking contests. Laid some great tackles and worked hard to pressure when Forward. He is a top 10 prospect for sure.
6. Aiden Bonar
Bonar had another excellent game, quieter compared to last week for impact im not sure if he had more of the ball. He hits every contest hard and very clean. His contested and overhead marking is very good and he is clean at ground level. He protects the line of the ball and hits it at pace and cleanly. He went into the middle at times in the 2nd half but was more reactive to the ruck taps but when he got his hands up he dished out some good handballs.
9. Luke Davies-Uniacke
After a quieter game last week LDU stamped his authority on the game showing he is still right in the mix for pick 1. He showed some great speed from stoppages and his composure and clan handballs where brilliant today. He always looked dangerous going forward he took a great mark and ran into goal showing his composure and confidence. He also laid a don't argue that would have Dustin Martin proud. He was clean in everything he did and his composure was a class above everyone else
25. Oscar Clavarino
Clavarino was hit and miss, he looked great flying for some marks but a lot just couldn't stick for him. I like his composure and decision making, sometimes he gets undone but generally very dependable with the ball. He had some quality defensive efforts in the last quarter winning some outnumbered contests and taking a brilliant mark when Sandringham where pushing hard late.
Sandringham
6. Charlie Constable
Constable had moments in the game when he was the best player but it was hardly a 4 quarter game and a little below what he would have liked. Constable was smart in the stoppages reading the taps well, his handballs hit the target often bit his kicks from stoppages leaved a lot to be desired which has always been an issue but in open play his kicking was great. Constable looked threatening up forward at times taking some nice marks on the lead and was clever in a few plays. His speed is still an issue for me he doesn't offer a whole lot going the other way compared to a Hunter Clark
9. Andrew Brayshaw
Brayshaw had another complete midfield performance. He worked hard in tight and on the spread, his hands where clean and he generally hit targets by foot but his handballs on occasion where poor but he did mop up most of his mistakes. Brayshaw missed some uncharacteristic shots at goal but he did kick the goal of the day with a dribble kick hard up in the pocket. Brayshaw's mind was always on the game his focus and ability to keep his mind always on the game is to be admired.
10. Angus Styles
His breakout performance for mine he certainly looks draftable and for me was best on for Sandringham. Styles had it on a string on the wing he was composed and skilful with ball in hand and his sideways movement was a thing of beauty. His kicking on both sides is exceptional and with his ability to move sideways with ease make him dangerous no matter which way he turns. He finished his game with a running goal he always looked composed with the ball and he worked hard both ways.
74. Nathan Murphy
Murphy started the game really well taking some quality grabs from the side of packs and his closing speed on occasion was incredible. Murphy spent most of his time down back which is where I feel he plays his best footy. He is a very good kick of the ball and when his teammates talked to him he was always quick to hit a nice switch. I say right behind Murphy for the last quarter where a few issues came up for me, a few times he took too long to dispose of the ball and instead of tucking the call under his arm he just strolled with the ball and almost got run down on a few occasions, will hopefully learn from that and raise his urgency with ball in hand coming out of defence. Overall looks a good talent and I hope to see him play some good games in the finals.

Garners main thing holding him back is his ability to stay in the game for longer periods, doesn't get anywhere near the numbers as all the other 1st round prospects so needs to lift in that area but he can play anywhere has safe hands and makes good decisions, hoping he lifts for the finalsWhat's your thoughts on Joel Garner? I've seen alittle of him but he hasn't displayed that x factor ability he was touted to have last year.
He does however have fantastic leadership qualities and a nice kick but I was wondering what you thought of other parts of his game.

Question.
Any info on Higgins 20 metre and beep test results?
Thanks in advance
That's a good question re: overagesClark was absolutely massive, LDU very good, Bonar very "ish" for mine and Clavarino workmanlike.
Constable patchy, Styles brilliant, Brayshaw solid and Murphy was going well enough to get belted twice and hopefully the kid who did it gets a holiday.
I'd love to know why AFL Victoria permit Morrish and De Wit to still play whilst Dragons have been forced to not play Hamish Brayshaw and Sakeson. Extra size and maturity counts a lot at this time of the year. Anyhow. Top 8 seems essentially set now. So next week is a series of glorified practice matches.
That's a good question re: overages
Jets had some who were told couldn't continue, but still have a couple playing.
Not a very transparent set of rules.
I think it should be based on games played in your 2 u18 seasons. Once you exceed a certain number of games played, you can't continue as a 19 yr old.
3.064s 20m (169th out of 478 people in the TAC)
13.13 beep (About 115th out of those that tested)
That sounds fair and reasonable.I believe the rule for next season's 19 yo has changed making overagers only eligible to play if they have not exceeded 16 tac cup games previously

What should've happened is that there are no 19 year olds and that the VFL Development competition became a 21 and under competition. That sounds fair and reasonable.

What might hopefully happen now is the TAC gradually returns to an U19 competition where most top agers have already finished their schooling and don't have the double stress of finishing VCE and trying to get drafted at exactly the same time.
A far higher percentage of year 12 boys are turning 18 in the early part of their final year. As opposed to 1992 when the competition commenced and almost no-one turned 18 in year 12 until July.
If AFL clubs keep demanding "developed" players who are AFL ready when drafted, then the AFL should change the rules to keep the elite kids in this age graded competition for an extra year - you'll probably find an even greater translation into AFL games played and less "drop outs".
Even if Cannons win I can't see them increasing their percentage by that much.Clark was absolutely massive, LDU very good, Bonar very "ish" for mine and Clavarino workmanlike.

Very poor stats for Geelong and Eastern. Cassidy Parish the clear standout there
Charlie Thompson and Alex Federico both had day outs.

Just a quick nuggety player that just bobs up to kick goals. Personally I don't think he goes that high but I feel he would be a perfect fit for the blues, they have Pickett but having another super quick small forward wouldn't hurt and he can also go into the middle for some spark. Daniels could play Round 1 and instantly give the blues forward line some extra zip and excitement.Brett Daniels at 172cm?
Wow wee - must be some sort of player to crack the top 40, despite playing in a team which has won 3 games all year.
I've never seen him, so it's not a criticism.
