Just thought he deserved a thread on last nights performance, he was great.

Ran his arse off all night, Bucks is 100% right in saying that he is one of, if not, the hardest runner at the club.

Numerous occasions I saw him kick the ball to someone 30 odd meters away, then run past for the handball kick it to someone else, run, get it back and set up a goal.

Brilliant game Daisy.:thumbsu:

yeh i agree he did play a good game , he was due for one , but welldone to daisy , PIES ARE BACK IN TOWN

Played a very good game across HF and the middle even did a bit down back

Kept running all season and if he kept working it was always goung to come, trav same goes for him

I'm actually more thrilled with Thomas' performances this year then his maych winning efforts in the past.

In the first 6 weeks, he has shown a defensive and hard working side to his game that was missing in his first few years.

I can see Daisy developing into a "true" midfielder within 12-18 months, and this is MM's plan all along. Teaching him all aspects of the game, getting him to play a more physical brand of football, and not unlike Leon Davis, after 4-5 years of learning his trade he becomes a midfielder.

At the start of this year, there were questions over Daisy and how good he might be, I'll answer that by saying he will be as good as, if not better then what Leon Davis is showing at the moment.

MM may have his "mad" moments, but he really does know how to develop players for a specific future role.

Yep better last night. No doubt.

Posted in another thread but I noticed it last night too.

Thomas spends a lot of unnecessaey energy on the field imo running to the wrong spots or sprinting to a contest he'll never make etc.

We always talk about him looking burntout and attributing it to a lack of fitness, he's always running so I don't think that's the problem, it's where runs. Needs to be a bit smarter in this regard imo. Dane Swan is a good example of someone whos is a 'smart' runner.

Still a good game by him though but if he wants to become a full time midfielder and turn those 15-20 possie games into 25 possie games this is something he should work on. Anyone agree with this?

Another solid game. Just a shame people cant see hes been doin this since day one and they mainly rate games on possessions these days.

He obviously didn't star , but did the basics well and applied good pressure.
I have seen improvement in his game so far this year from last , and believe it is only a matter of time before he is rewarded.

He was terrific to watch last night. He just has to do that every week.:thumbsu:

he does do that every week. That's the 4th game I've been to this year (first win) and every game Daisy runs like a mad man.

Too many people (and I'm not having a go at you here, you just provided the prelude) bag him for not doing the flashy things all the time, or for trying the flashy things and failing. What you don't see on TV is how hard he works off the ball, making position; blocking; shepherding; creating an option and dragging oppo players with him.

I love his work ethic, the flash is just the sprinkles on the icing on the cake.

This is why I get so pissed off with all these couch experts.
Haven't missed a game this year, and I've been impressed with this efforts every game. He is one of the hardest workers (quite possibly the hardest) in our side.

Keep it up Daisy!

Yep, fantastic game last night! Never stopped running, chased and tackled hard all night. He also had a couple of goal assists. He is actually equal second in goal assists for this season even though he has missed a game.
Good thing is he has contributed in every match and has been consistent.:thumbsu:
He will get high 20 possession games in the coming weeks judging by his peformances this season.
I just hope Mick will put him in the midfield, so he can show us what he can do in there.
