Has anyone else noticed that the rest of the Bomber's games are to be broadcasted on Foxtel? That's damn annoying especially for us normal people who can't afford it... I'm just pissed off that we can't see Hirdy's and Sheed's last match.

Thoughts?

"Normal" people that can't afford it? I am really getting sick of this argument!

$12 a week will get you AFL and a WHOLE lot more

Option 1
You have 10 days to get the service- as the campaign says "suprisingly affordable" and I am sure they could do you a deal...

Option 2
Go to the game:eek:

I would have thought by now everybody would have Foxtel! If ya havent cmon get with it!

even though im goin 2 the melb games these 2 matches r pretty big ones they shood be on free 2 air not suprised at the ess vs wc on foxtel though

Part of the deal was that the networks sat down at the start of the year and picked there games. foxtel were able to have first rights every second week for the saturday/saturday night games as well as having exclusivity to the sunday twilight game and a sunday game.

Hence, they obviously thought essendon v carlton would be a bigger game than st kilda v fremantle- safe bet viewer wise i'd imagine and in regards to the twilight game- its exclusive and will be for the next 4 years.

I dont think foxtel will ever get less than 4 live games a week when the new agreement come up. It's just something people will have to get used to...

How about this?

Go to the f-ing game.

I can see it both ways i live in rural victoria so it makes going to the footy extremely difficlult. (however i am going to be at the Essendon Richmond match). However the poster who said that its 12 bucks is wrong well atleast were i live. At the the moment it would cost 51 bucks a month for austar. But im sure you could cut back some luxuries that you dont need as much. And if all else fails just go down to the local pub and watch it.

Correct...

$12 x 52 weeks = $624
$624/12 months= $52 per month:eek:

Not every one can go and not everyone can get pay TV --

For example, I'm a student staying on campus (can't get pay for the mere 8 months I'm here) and I go home on the weekends for work and sporting commitments (and can't go to the games).

Here for starters you have to get the basic channels for 36 bucks a month. then the sport channels are 15 bucks so that makes a grand total of $51 bucks. correct me if im wrong.

Thats right, same as foxtel but I still dont see what your problem is?

$51, $52 who cares, are you arguing over $1?

Some of us have a mortgage and $50 per month is a bit of a stretch when you factor in rising expenses and living on your own, so its a valid argument. For what its worth, Foxtel is a rip off....probably only 10-15 channels you'd ever watch and if you're watching more than that on any given day...your couch is looking saggy and worn.

I also have a mortgage:eek:

And for what its worth, do you have the service? I know i would rather have the option of selecting from over 100 channels even if i only watched 10-15 rather than flicking between 4...
