My XP pro is failed and my AVG is shut down.

it seems to be ...generic3.frn trojan
It hit me when I opened the link.
 
Had already clicked on the link before I read this thread. Now when I post or send an email it says "You must check out http://2007postcards..........."

How do I stop this from happening?

Bizarre if true. he seemed pretty genuine... why would he post a virus on purpose?? :confused:

Then again - he was talking about "talking to Hase this morning". Is there a bit of delusion there, or is it all a misunderstanding? :confused:
 
Aparently its happend in a few other areas...Admin should get onto it soon, we will have to wait and see.

Ive had my computer stuffed up quite a few times by dodgey links...Its infuriating.

I am surprised AVG doesnt get it..Thats usually one of the best anti virus's going around.

Since clicking on the link all my posts begin with "you must check out http://2007postcards..........." as the first sentence, so I have to edit them to get rid of the link. I think the same thing would have happened to taz@freo, he's clicked on the link on another board and that first line added itself when he returned to our board.
 
These viruses are the most annoying things ever. I got one on MSN last year. I was talking to my cousin and suddenly she said to click on a link coz there were photo's of us on her myspace (and me being the twat I am I did :thumbsd: :o ) so everytime I spoke to anyone the thing she said to me would show up to them so yeah, the virus was spread. I think you just gotta do a virus check and they're gone...

Havent had a virus on my macs over the 10 years i have had them "touch wood". There are drawbacks to macs but i love hoe they always work!

same thing happened to me mate! I kept thinking i deleted it and it would come bak!
