The important take away I had from that was that Danger had no respect left for Freo by the end of the match and was quite happy to walk casually around the field. It really did impress on me the amount of work rate required to be an elite AFL player though.

In seriousness though - perhaps choose the timing for that sort of thing a bit more carefully. Its also probably one initiative that's better implemented on a platform like Foxtel - eg you press red button to see Danger or you can choose not to have it. Similar to when they did 'press red for Ed' for Mcguire commentary for the Collingwood fans. Not a terrible idea but needs more thought.

Fox Footy programming is pretty abysmal. I don't know if 'Danger Watch' isn't completely indicative of that but the station is pretty lax. They've hired about ten people, eight of them are former players, they put on about three shows a week and one of those is The Bounce. I am not surprised that by 2017 the biggest innovation they have going for 'em is blocking a third of your screen so you can watch, in excruciating detail, one player breezily waltz around the park during the match's dying minutes.

I wonder if Fremantle were playing any other club if they still wouldn't have cut to Danger at home, just crashing on his couch watching the game or channel surfing through My Kitchen Rules or something. The only way to salvage this is to make a running joke through the year where they interrupt random matches, block a third of the screen, and cut to Danger doing random things, like shopping or starting at himself in the mirror while "Goodbye Horses" blares out in the background.

For 90% of the time the Danger Watch screen was up, he walked around, then headed forward where he hardly saw it too. If you want to check my posting last year, I was glad he was leaving. Great player but the team was too Danger orientated and he burned the ball too often at the crows. Danger left, Adelaide improved

Huddo for sure, if he had it his way the larger screen would have been danger watch including shower danger watch after the game.

FOXTEL need to put their efforts into not going to an ad 30 seconds into a game or loosing volume for 2 minutes or cutting straight to bounce after a big win, rather than this shit.

Wouldn't mind seeing it for certain players, but agree they need to change the format. Either a smaller box or resizing the main picture (like when they display stats on ESPN) could work.

That would of been preferable as atleast the game wouldn't of been blocked with a qtr of the screen taken up.

It was as if the commentary team were monitoring social media because Pavlich made mention that "It has now been taken down."

Ironic that not long after watching what felt like 10 minutes of nothing, they take it down and Danger takes a mark and kicks a goal.
