AS thrilled as Patrick Dangerfield was to be drafted among the top 10 youngsters in the country, he has all ready put his AFL career with the Crows on hold until 2009.
One of the youngest in yesterday's draft, the 17-year-old utility intends to concentrate full-time on his schooling and final year at Oberon High School in Lorne.
Adelaide Football Manager Matt Rendell says Dangerfield is an exciting young prospect who can jump and run with the ball like few teenagers he has seen.
"He has a nice rangy build, too, and can play in a heap of positions," Rendell says.
"He is probably the prototype of football for the next 15 years."
Asked his major strength, Dangerfield said: "Once I get the ball I can run and carry it and once I get going I'm hard to stop".

I guess it's just as well we didn't draft Dangerfield then.
